A place close to my heart, I call Boulsworth Pendle's quiet neighbour, a nice place to escape the crowds and the many times I've been up you rarely see anyone like you didn't, on super clear days you can see right up to Malham cove and across to Blackpool tower, and some of the stone formations are quite impressive, keep up the good work Chris

You’re on my home turf on Boulsworth. I’ve been trekking in Nepal (Tillman’s pass and Langtang), but make sure to put California’s John Muir Trail on your bucket list too - absolutely magical and hardly any people once you leave Yosemite (due to the permit system) 😀

Loved this vid Chris. That crisp texure and deafening silence is priceless. That's what the mountains are for me. It's the closest to pure, non-man-made. Precious and to be protected. The mountains is literally the only place I will use the word 'Awesome'.
You waving at that grouse made me laugh too - I was driving once and a deer appeared at the side of the road. I 'flashed him' to let him across, like it was the universal language of road users🤣

Must admit I was a bit sceptical about the poles, but after trying them out about twelve months ago I actually use them quite a lot now. More so for coming down steep sections than going up. Especially with a big pack on, really takes the stain off the old knees 👌🏼

I’m getting out now myself regardless of my Hip Replacement problems and Walking on average 7 miles per night getting stronger everyday👍 my good hip is struggling as I know it’s on the cards to be bad enough to need Some Steve Austin Treatment but Bursitis will have to do for now🙈 Got to love Voltarol as you get older😜

Cracking day for a look about and great clear footage.  I love sunny,  white frost days like that and it looks a canny hike to the summit. I have used poles for hiking over the 5 years and they make a massive difference for taking the pressure of your knees and hips, as well as giving extra stability, especially coming down a Fell.   The Lomo Trekking Poles looked quality and a make I have never heard of before, so I will check out the link and will be interested in the detailed review. Perfect lunch spot and all to yourself as well, even better.  I think you made the right call retracing your steps with the light running out, looked a canny day out, cheers Alan
