34:59 Yes, Seo Taiji and BTS did a collab stage and at this point Seo Taiji basically named BTS as their successors, passed the torch to them saying that it's their generation now. Also, BTS released their version of "Come Back Home", an original by Seo Taiji and Kids. You need to react to it, I'm sure you'll love it.

"How does this guy know so much about it???" He's Korean Steph 😂😂 and works in the entertainment industry (as a journalist and freelancer on YT) lol

5:53 BTS have a remake of Come Back Home, asked by Seo Taiji himself, it's actually very different from the original!! Hope you can check it out too, they also performed it with him along with other songs for his 25th Anniversary, it's available in full on YouTube but you can also just check out some BTS parts of it (i believe you also saw some of it on Rise of Bangtan)

You guys should react to boracity video "respect your seniors mock your juniors"| bts lesson on repect

It was not called K-pop when Seo Taeji and Boys were around. We just look back and recognize his influence on the Korean music industry, Korean broadcasting, and Korean censorship laws as what led to the birth of k-pop...well that and what was going on in the US music industry at the time (particularly surrounding MJ and Motown and everything 90s and early 2000s). K-pop wasn't really "k-pop" until Lee Soo Man (founder of SM entertainment) goes to America, works in and learns about the American music industry, then return to SK to create the idol training system that K-pop is now known for and debuts H.O.T. (which was mentioned in the video and is often credited as the FIRST idol group).

if you want learn about Kpop history you have to know who is Gdragon what was his impact to open gate for kpop on the world. He is practically blueprint for kpop, pionier in many things. He was first idol producer, he started his carier as 6 age, He made biggest kpop hits . fashion icon , first ever kpop chanell ambasador, and much much more. He is called kpop king for a reason also he is idol of idols. He is now 37 but still doing world tour with amazing numbers beside he prepared BigBang comeback for 2026

25 years had to pass for Seo Taiji to say to another artist "This is your generation now" and asked them to remake his song Come back home. He also invited them on stage on his 25 year anniversary concert.

I'm very glad you caught the connection between Seo Taeji and BTS Wesley, because Seo Taeji himself told BTS the exact same thing. Authenticity and a message (and no genre/concept restriction). He said (in person to BTS, whom he had asked to collab and partake in his anniversary concert back in 2017) that BTS was carrying on his legacy and that he was passing them the torch.

Edit: yes, that was Seo Taeji with BTS, that's the 2017 anniversary concert I was referencing lol (that concert is on YT for the ARMYs that have never seen BTS' performances during it btw)

bigbang's impact was amazing. They were always at the top no matter which new artist went up to there. They were against TVXQ, EXO and BTS. Every new gen of new popular idol, they were still the rival. And now they're back for their 20th anniversary and still making waves.

23:19 EXO👑🔥❤️

Big Bang is still the most popular in Korea, China and Japan

It's believed that 4th generation starts from 2018, first group being The Boyz. So, for example Stray Kids, Txt, Ateez and others are 4th gen. While 5th generation started in 2023 with Zerobaseone that were formed through another survival show.

15:45 aqghhhh Girls generation 🤎🤎🤎

TVXQ are such legends. I wish you checked them out, they are still active as a duo

Btw, it just came out Namjoon's Collab with Tablo "Stop The Rain" is an amazing and beautiful song, but with heavy topics like suicide idealizations and so, so have that in mind, but please hope you can react to it!!

❤❤ i love these video essays that can help understand the world BTS is in. Boracity is great but there are many great ones out there

Atleast you guys had been taught somewhat about Vietnam and Korean war.. atleast as a name drop..
In my school..all we were taught about in history was about my own country and the world wars..So I wasn't taught anything about Korean war, Vietnam war, American Civil War..nothing...unless I had chosen to pursue a subject in arts in 11th and 12th grade.. but i chose computer science..so..it was not taught in the mandatory history classes we took from 1st grade to 10th grade tho

❤❤🎉🎉🎉

thank you so much for the double upload<3 hope you can also check out rm's new song with tablo called "stop the rain", it's quite heavy in the lyrics... just to keep that in mind

God i hate those CEO's especially YG and SM you guys dont know the amount of corruption and shit they are involved, they are responsible for so many idols getting their life's ruin including their own idols.
It was only recently discovered that when bts filmed american hustle life back in 2014 SM contacted and tried to convince them not to work with bts saying they are just a filler group and that was before bts even succed.
then this man also had the nerves to try to say bts succeed because of him fabricating articals that credits him for bts success despite him manging groups that directly competed with bts god that man is so horrible.
