Welcome to the Letterman YouTube Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate — but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

RIP, Tim McCarver. Us Mets fans truly have been spoiled with our broadcasters. Ralph Kiner, Bob Murphy, Lindsey Nelson, Tim McCarver, Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling to head the list.

My Dad was a big Mets fan. Even though I don't follow baseball this was interesting with him and Dave's excitement.

I was 9 years old when I was watching Mets games in the early to mid 80s, Ralph Kiner and Tim McCarver always told great baseball stories that kept me glued to the tv. Good times!!!

Loved McCarver when he broadcast Met games with Ralph Kiner and Steve Zabriski. The man was a wealth of knowledge. He was the type of guy who you’d ask what time it is and he’d tell you how to make a watch.
