5:55 nobody talks about this and how amazing Portnoy is as a leader and director: What happens here is that the band missed the queue to enter with the unison, Portnoy noticed inmediatly and yells "WAIT" to the band and then proceedes to count "1, 2" and then makes a drumfill to set the band to be on queue again for the part wich they perfectly do. What a pro! he is the GOAT!

Wow!!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Derek absolutely killed it on Acid Rain!

A little fun fact: He initially refused to do it when Mike asked him to, because he didn't feel like playing Jordan Rudess' parts. But some time later Mike asked him again, and he finally relented... on one condition: that they would also play Apocalypse 1740 BC, quite possibly one of the hardest prog songs ever to play.

So here it is, folks. The one time Derek Sherinian played a Jordan Rudess song.

I wish the LTE DVDs were shot with this quality. The fact that we'll be stuck forever with those amateurish recordings is a crime against humanity.

Wow, tony macalpine is still shredding all these years later

Все профи видно сразу.

I know this is not a popular opinion but I honestly miss Derek when he was in Dream Theater. I liked the route the band was taking when Derek was in the band. Especially John Petrucci. his solos were so Musical and he played with clean sounds, dirty sounds those kind of things not just full on distortion. Don't get me wrong I love Jordan rudess as well. But Derek brought a rock edge to dt.

McAlpine is probably the most unsung masters of his era. I mean, there was a few years where everything changed and it was Yngwie, Moore, and MAC  at the top no question.

The four horses of the metalypse!  All are legends...but i hold Tony closest to my heart.  What a fukin insane gig!!!

out of this world musicianship, there top of their game

Omg! What a great thing. Portnoy and Sherinian in one bottle

Just enjoying Tony tear it up with the best rhythm section ever

Nobody talk about how the cameraman captured great moments ? even each beat is punctual at each song details ! Man, thanks for the great quality video we can enjoy this... great to see their performance preserved well over time... timeless.

Sheehan is an absolute freak on the bass. So interesting to hear this on his Fender rather than a Chapman Stick. More punch on the bottom end

This is the first time I see musicians of this caliber NOT wearing in-ear monitors. Intriguing

Probably best performance ever by anyone
