JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) has addressed the defendant Roy Suryo's statement that 99.9 percent of the diploma of the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is fake. The prosecutor believes this statement must be proven in court.
This statement was made while reading out his response to Roy Suryo's objection at the East Jakarta District Court (PN Jaktim) on Monday (October 5, 2026).
The prosecutor believes the defendant lacks any evidentiary basis for claiming that 0.1 percent of the diploma is genuine.
"Regarding the objection's argument regarding the difference between the statement that it is 99.9% fake and 100% fake, we, the Public Prosecutor, believe that the Defendant's legal team has drawn a conclusion that lacks any evidentiary basis. When they stated that 99.9% fake meant that 0.1% was genuine, valid, or true," the prosecutor stated.
