In this episode of Vivarium, we talk with José Luis Ruz, pastor of La Viña Barcelona and a pioneer in various stages of church planting. His story—from LoKal, where God reached hundreds of young people, to Puigcerdà in the Catalan Pyrenees, and finally to Barcelona—is a journey of risk, faith, and radical obedience.

José Luis speaks to us about the “pregnant church,” the importance of creating space for growth, the need to live in mission mode, and how the simple invitation “come and see” remains one of the most powerful tools of the Kingdom.

He also explains why new communities have a flexibility, freshness, and evangelistic focus that is sometimes lost in established structures. In a church plant, everything is yet to be built: the culture, the processes, the DNA, and the space for new leaders to flourish.

If you are interested in church planting, genuine discipleship, or understanding how God is opening paths in Spain, this episode is for you.
