Luci Justi is a businesswoman, therapist, and specialist in emotional intelligence, and she disagrees with giving money to homeless people. For her, among other things, giving money to the homeless contributes to increased crime and perpetuates their situation, as they may become complacent; her type of contribution doesn't go directly to the homeless, but to organizations specializing in helping them.
We brought together some people who disagree with Luci, including former homeless individuals, for a dialogue that exposes both sides: those who give and those who don't, and those who receive money.
Our guests are:
Eliana Toscano de Araújo, Social Entrepreneur and organizer of the "Inclusive Residence" for homeless women
José Carlos Pastor de Carlos, Garbage Collector and Social Work Organizer bringing food to people in the Cracolândia area of São Paulo
Darci da Silva Costa, National Coordinator of the National Movement of the Homeless Population (MNPR/Brazil)
André Briesi, Actor and screenwriter

#ChangeMyMindOnGNT proposes a dialogue between people who think differently. Whatever a person's opinion on a given topic, here, that person will have the opportunity to present their arguments, and, on the other hand, will also be challenged by 3 or 4 other people (all in agreement with the project format). The person, you, or the other 4 guests can change their mind or No. The important thing is that, here, both sides are open to listening and also have their say, making the conversation rich for those who agree, as well as for those who disagree and want to better understand the other point of view, sometimes so far from our own.
So, here's another video from #MudeMinhaIdeiaNoGNT that divides opinions. Like many things in this world, after all! May it be good for you to listen to both those who agree and those who disagree :) It's enriching, either way.
