Well... I hope they realize Steam reviews ain't Spectrum...

Amazing breakdown my guy.
Looking frwd to seeing more SQ42 content from you 👌🏻

I'm glad this could still release within Mark Hamill's life time

The hacking makes me think of the hacking minigame in the most recent Deus Ex.

Ty for your thoughts, helps us less conected fish keep up with a more reasonable take of all the news!

ngl, this shit looks fire. That steam 30% cut ends after 2M sales. RIP Bone Gill. Also looks like there's a mercenary, non UEE playthrough. After what I heard, objectively, I'm not worried about this flopping. I do expect you to have our lovely Herring character design in the solo campaign. I'm not going to hold SC against this title, doesn't seem like a fair comparison. They're definitely two different games. Not too worried about them having to delay it again. Hearing day 2, I don't worry too much about the objectivity conversation about the streamers. Looks like way more OGs were invited than streamers were. What I'm trying to say is, I bought much worse, buggier games. This passed my "acceptable" threshold to at least wish list it. I know I'm giving them a pass, but f*ck it, lemme just suspend my disbelief once. It's nice to hear from people just how much different it feels compared to SC.

I found it interesting when Tomato hosted like a 6hr stream, having play testers come into the call in show and talk about it. You were quickly able to suss out hopium vs objective experiences. Bored Gamer is a muppet (that's what ya'll say in the UK right?) and tons of people said he barely even got through the game and didn't hit the parts they all did. He was interested in capturing the side content, WHICH IS FINE. It's just not representative of what everyone else said. Ironically, I would listen to him the least out of all of them lol. j

Let's hope it goes well. They need to hit at least 5M copies sold for it to be considered a success. Time will tell. We'll know this is legit if they keep releasing content and show off the game more to the press and community. I found it odd when both Exodus and the Expanse both had demos and dev interviews of their games. I was never worried about them competing with SQ42, but I did think it was damning not having any SQ42 discussions happen during Gamescon. Maybe this is the start of their marketing campaigns? That's how we'll know it'll hit the target dates they set. Paying for ads is damn expensive just to delay it.

It sucks because even tho I'm quite critical of CIG and do not trust them, I think it's okay to at least have some hope or feel good about it. SC is an abomination to everything good and holy in the world. I think because of that, if I have anything hopeful or positive to say it'll be misconstrued as naive. I don't care. I like the idea of a cinematic heavy game. I've been a massive Kojima fan since 2001, there's nothing you can do to dissuade me from liking cutscenes. These cutscenes look great so I'm not worried having to sit through them.

you forgot to mention the most important part of the trailer. the idris changed manufacturer from AEGIS to AGEIS

3:58 the guy on left xd

According to reports from people who attended the event, CIG said in the townhall meeting that they have no plans for an Episode 2 or 3 for Squadron 42, it will be a contained story with supposedly no cliffhangers where all story arcs are wrapped up by the end. However they do have other options for potential games having potential future stories set in the Star Citizen universe though CIG has not started work on any of these ideas… yet…

Surely it's this time, right herring? 😅

Early access for another decade or two

The new fresh credit cards

Everyone's playing SQ42 but the best they could do for Harring is stick him on Wing Commander xP

Admirable Bishop. Lol

Speed: 100

What was missing from the trailer is the disclaimer you get in every other trailers, that what you see is actually in-engine or real-time or in-game cinematic, even when they show actual gameplay. Implying that everything here is pre-rendered and post-processed quite possibly the gameplay footages as well.

i really wonder if or what role the retribution will play in sc. its a really interesting ship in my opinion
