A Porsche passes by. A Ferrari follows. Then you hear an engine sound — it doesn't whisper, it screams. A V8, with an American accent.
The Corvette. America's one and only sports car for 70 years. It died 7 times, it came back to life 7 times.
It started with a fiberglass body. It challenged Ferraris at Le Mans. At one point, it won so much that the FIA closed its racing class. The man behind it was a Russian who went from gold smuggling to engineering Mercedes chassis. It was never produced in 1983. In 2025, it beats the Ferrari SF90 at a third of the price.
This episode tells the story of America's little warship.

🔔 WHAT'S ON THIS CHANNEL
The strangest, most stubborn, most "where did this come from" stories in automotive history. Brand stories, model stories, JDM culture, why it sank format. Not technical information mixed with numbers — stories you'll want to tell someone. Information is forgotten, stories leave a mark.
💬 SOMETHING IN THE COMMENTS
If you know a detail about the Corvette that isn't in the video, write it in the comments. I can mention it in the next American car video. Don't forget to mention the brand/model name when you write so it doesn't get lost.
👍 If you liked the video, don't forget to hit the like button. Subscribing to the channel is free and surprisingly effective — let the algorithm gods see it too, so I don't sink 7 times like the Corvette.
