Dear Fright Factory, I have a very obscure killing which happend in my home town, Šiauliai, Lithuania. On 2022, July 4-5 one teenager and 2 males killed a 15 y/o kid. Then they put that kid into a rug and thrw it out. What’s even worse they called police themselves and tried convincing that they found it. Local news station even got the interview from them. They were arrested after interview right away because their stories did not match up. Noone talked about this and it was caught on live TV.

Article is called “TV3 žinioms prabilo 15-metės nužudymu įtariamieji jaunuoliai: “Gaila, kad mieste gyvena tokių žiaurių žmonių ką padarysi”

If needed I can translate what was said or written.

bawling my eyes out over 'his grandchildren would, indeed, get to hear Santa call them in the years to come' :')

So, I looked up court documents for Robin Betts II. He was charged with the same charges as the other robbers, and received 60 years.

However, I also found obituaries for the same name who passed in 2020 at the age of 32. Making him 18 in 2006. I believe he died in prison, since his appeals after his conviction were all denied.

Cannot find more information beyond that. But grateful he also was charged.

Why does attempted murder get less of a punishment than murder? As far as the criminal is concerned, they were going to kill the victim, and it's not their choice that it didn't work

Internet Archives/Wayback Machine IS the greatest thing to happen to the internet since the internet. The stuff you can scrape up from there is mind blowing. More often than not, I start there first to get stuff often pretty raw.

From the intro, I was worried that the grandfather wouldn't make it. Glad to hear that it turned out he did survive, even though it was still bittersweet because the two store workers weren't so lucky.

The first case just reaffirms how some people truly don’t value other people’s lives. Like… you’re gonna do a little robbery for like a goal of $200 and you think you need to eliminate everyone in the store? Like…. Even if they got 10x that… that isn’t even worth a single hair on a single human. Life is priceless. It’s amazing these fools throw away their ONLY chance on this earth away for a few bucks. Idk I don’t get it. Ain’t nothing on this planet that can’t make me hurt anyone for anything. I’m not giving up my freedom to harm someone else, even if they whooped my ass or hurt my friend. Just deal with it in your own way and move on. No sense in losing your freedom over it. Helps no one.

Crazy to think we're gonna be on number 50 in one more upload. Genuinely love this channel and love how you always seem to pick cases I've never heard before

I'm so glad Lee pulled through in the first story, he knew his family loved, needed, and wanted him there. But I'm also so pissed for the other families. Even if those evil people got some money, no one's life is worth that.

When I go out, I try to be in and out of public as quick as possible. I'm so glad my friends aren't working at "easy target" stores anymore. Random people are so unpredictable and it's terrifying

Canadian ATC here, a little context on AA965–

This occurred in December 1995, AA965 had already been delayed by two hours (some things never change LoL)…so it was dark by the time they departed. I believe pilots have to get night-ratings as part of their commercial license, but it is a separate rating. It’s actually incredibly difficult to maintain situational & spatial awareness in the dark. A similar incident, though a completely different cause, occurred not long after with Aeroperu 603.

First off, commercial aircraft file IFR flight plans to get from A to B, & if you ever see one, you’ll see a lot of three to five capital-lettered waypoints. That is what Fright Factory meant when he mentioned the “R” & “Romeo” (phonetically). R was supposed to be ROZÓ by itself should only be an NDB (non-directional beacon), & it is one of the least precise ways to fly. They are still around as back ups & pilots still use them every now & then in more developed countries. There are a series of anywhere from five to twenty waypoints on any given route.  These waypoints are entered into the aircraft’s Flight Management System just before or during passenger boarding, one of the many pre-flight checks they do.

The “mix-up” happened because Colombia had duplicated the use of Romeo NDB (very much NOT in line with ICAO standards). The aircraft’s Flight Management System did not recognize “R” by itself as ROZÓ, whereas their navigational charts did. In countries where identifiers were allowed to be duplicated, the FMS system will list them by largest city first, which in this case is near Bogotá. So when the pilots punched in R, autopilot immediately began to re-route to Bogota & not ROZÓ.

Anyway, the problem with Cali that year was the radar system was indeed 💥 by some guerrilla group, so ATC could only use hand-offs from previous ATC in contact with the flight & pilot report of position. This was basically old school air traffic control; the Grand Canyon mid-air was what led to more advanced technology.

I’m sorry for being so long-winded. If anyone still has trouble grasping this, I can try to explain it some more, but I’ll leave it at that for now.

Finally, I love 757s, but they are a bit of pain to control because they are a medium aircraft in terms of max weight, however, when they are the leading aircraft, they become a heavy in terms of wake turbulence. So if you have two 757s taking off one after another, the first 757 is now considered a heavy & the second one must wait three minutes before they can depart (medium behind heavy). In contrast, two 737s take off one after another, I can clear the second one for takeoff almost immediately after the first one rotates.

Whenever I hear “as usual, let’s get into the back stories first” you know I lock tf inn 😤😤

Thank you for respecting the victims and not over sensationalizing the stories. Love your work, keep it up!

I’ve officially watched every video on your channel. No clue what to do with my free time now

I'm somewhat of an aviation buff, having worked as a civilian for the United States military, and very familiar with the crash you talked about. American Airlines 965 was a complete mess. From the pilots accidentally erasing the FMS flight plan- which had the waypoints pre-programmed for them, to Colombia not following ICAO naming conventions, to the lack of situational awareness in the cockpit. Commerical airline crashes are always awful in so many different ways, but one thing that is done right is to use the lessons from the crash to make future flights safer. Great video and thank you for all of your hard work!

Thank you for not sensationalizing these cases.  Your coverage and analysis of them is very matter-of-fact, no-frills, without AI-generated slop, and it’s clear you do a ton of research on these scenarios.  You’re not just copying someone else’s homework and rewording to make it sound a little different.  You show respect for the victims by giving the facts and the facts only while also taking time to remind viewers the weight of what they went through.  Your channel is a breath of fresh-air!

Thank you so much for being really respectful with the victims. Lately, most of the "true crime" content is  full of content creators being extremely disrespectful with the victims

The first story broke my heart. That complete act of nonsense ruined so many lives.
I hope it never does, but if someone wants to rob you just give them what they want. No amount of anything is worth your life.

While it is true that you mention quite often that topics you cover here  arent really covered by other YouTubers, the fact remains that YOU'RE RIGHT! That is the #1 reason I followed you is because you present topics that haven't been run into the ground by everyone else! So it's not considered bragging if it's true lol. Keep up the awesome job bro!! 👍🏻😃

There are some vile, disgusting and inhumane creatures that should NEVER be released from prison and Juliana faced the ultimate consequences by the ignorant, incompetent and the unforgivable choice to release this Monster from prison when he was still determined a high level of threat to society at large.  The Australian Probation Board system is guilty by proxy for the brutality and torture which caused the death of Juliana that night and may they never forgive themselves.  🕊️🕊️RIP Ms. Bonilla-Herrera🕊️🕊️

i love the respect that you have for victims and in describing these cases! i love this channel soooo much
