Come charity shopping with us around Hastings & Battle! We have a lovely day rummaging through some new charity shops, finding a few vintage treasures along the way… and somehow end up with the biggest wicker basket we’ve ever seen.

There are plenty of little finds, some unexpected bargains and some very pretty buildings along the way

Then, as always, we finish up with a chatty haul and show you everything we picked up.

It's probably been said already but I'll say it anyway.
You shop with your hearts not with pound signs flashing in your eyes. Of course there's always the chance of spotting a little gem (& let's be honest, who wouldn't snap one up in that instance) but there are so many channels on here where people are purely scouring charity shops, boot sales & antique fares to make a quick profit.
With you, we get to see sheer love and excitement for the pieces that make it home with you both (& Lawrence!) and I absolutely love that ❤

Oh my goodness, I would absolutely love some cosy sewing content from you both. Some tea, antiques, sewing and chatting like an old-fashioned sewing circle sounds idyllic.

When I lived in England as a student in 1992, I lived in Bath. My host father was wonderful and hilarious. He led the children at his church in a re-enactment of Moses (played by him, of course) and the Israelites crossing the Jordan. As part of his attire as Moses he wore a 1960’s rather psychedelic-looking tea cosy on his head to lead the charge. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I keep expecting Kate to put her tea cosy on her head!😂

Edelweiss in the old frame with the bubble glass ,the Dickens book and the two squirrels are my favourites of your finds. All of your thrift finds are beautiful.

If you can find another book of the same size, you can always display the flysheet on that, and then display the beautiful cover as well.

What a wonderful way to spend a Monday evening, tagging along with you to the Charity Shops! I'm blown away by so many in one town! And you both made some excellent purchases! That huge basket is the bomb diggity! Kate, you always find the best books!

Hi Fleur and Kate I hope you're all well? I'm watching this on catch up as I've been on holiday and my signal was rubbish. It's funny as my husband and I are going to St Leonards in October, so it's nice to see what charity shops are around. I can knit, but can't crochet. You've bought some amazing things. I love the basket.. I'd definitely use it for throws or blankets. Please look after yourselves and all my love xx ❤️

I can knit but can't crochet. My friend tried to teach me, but she has lost the will to live trying to teach me. It's so annoying that I can't crochet. You found some lovely items. Great video.
