Sometimes life comes full circle. This isn’t just another barn find — this is the Fairlane that started everything for me. Years ago, this car came into my life when I really needed direction, and somehow… it’s found its way back. She’s missing a lot, but she’s still got plenty of good bones — and even more stories left to tell.

The car deserves a full restoration and to feel the love you have for the car. Yes cars have souls.

I just met Caroline and James at SEMA, the greatest two people. When it comes to building this car, as you start on it, it will tell you what it needs. I have done the full restoration down to just getting it running. The one I continue to enjoy most is a plain Jane, 4 door old Plymouth that I built in a month. Then road tripped from Ohio to California and back. The car will tell you what it needs. Just listen. Like someone else said "old cars have souls". Keep doing what you love.

Since this car is so personal to you, I think you should do what you want. We will be here for the ride. And congratulations. This was a special episode.

Do a full resto. When I was a teen I had a toy car just like it even the color for many years.😊

There are a lot of folks wanting a full restoration. I think that's a bit heavy handed and expensive unless you already know that's the road you want to go down. Get it running and enjoy it. The beauty of not having a ton of body and frame work to do is you can skip it for now. Cars have personalities and that changes what I envision for cars as I own them. Let it speak to you and do what you're inspired to do.

I enjoy watching someone bringing back old ford's

So glad these aren’t as expensive as a lot of other classic cars. Hope they’re ALWAYS cheaper. You hardly ever see em. But they’re one of the best looking cars ever made imo.

I'd say full restoration in that beautiful original red color.

Full restoration. I owned 2 Ford Fairlanes. One was a fastback. I'd love to own one now, well over 40 years later.

I think you should restore it, it will be a beautiful car.I painted a Torino (68)back in 1969 from light blue to British racing green, and put the white stripe down the side. BEAUTIFUL CAR.

GREAT CAR!!!! that’s first and foremost. If you don’t do a ‘Restoration’ on it, do AT LEAST, a good restomod on it. That 390 engine with a good stroker would be KILLER!!! I can’t wait to see the rebuild. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Congratulations, I'm so happy you found one of your top 3 dream cars. I can't wait to see you guys build her. Thank you for you guys taking us on this ride with you.
The time and energy you and your family put in to take us along for this part of your lives is greatly appreciated. I can hardly wait for the next build and/or adventure.
When you build this dream please build her the way you dreamed it would turn out. Don't just slap her together to keep us happy, builds like this should be done the way you want. We'll be here to enjoy it no matter which way you go. We're not going anywhere.

After watching you run through the range of emotions, . Yes, you have your 356 and many other projects but if this is the dream car.. It deserves the love of a full resto.
