I'm not going to lie.  This quest chain is hell to do on a PVP server.  It took me two hours to complete and I got ganked about 4 times total.  Died by opposing faction guards twice almost three times.  But the rewards are well worth it.  Odds are you won't have a 12 slot bag yet.  And the XP bonus rocks.  My recommendation is to do this quest around level 20 and not 14.  You just can't travel through some of the zones at that low of a level.  You'll agro everything.  Even at 20 you still going to agro mobs.  Just not as bad.

i followed a random bombay cat from sentinel hill that brought me to this spot for alliance and then they despawned after a nap

Thanks for the awesome Video! it was straight forward, informative and overall enjoyable! Keep up the amazing content friend you're doing great!  You were also recommended on my page so you're definitely doing everything right!

The rested is not much of what I want, but the 12 slot bag is quite nice at the start

Thanks for the vid man. Appreciate it!

Great video mate good to know about this!

There's also a quest woven into this one that's being uncovered right now involving burned pages and a jaunt into some very high level areas.  Not really sure where that ends yet.

great video boss man, keep em rolling out

The 3% is nothing but you get some laughs out of it when entire party is cuddling in one bag before dungeon.

Just note I just ran it and got the optional flight points so took longer than needed. I Anurek eluded to it but stay on the Arathi side of the wall. There is no threat on that side easy to get to the jump point through the broken wall part. :) Also I think it's worth it for the 12 slot bag as well and a mobile log off spot with the bag.
Edit: I just ran it again I did not do any optional Flight paths This is on Alliance side I did start in Ironforge and had the loch modan and Westfall  Flight path already.
This is without stopping and doing on a hunter with 3% speed this time and second run so was a bit more optimized. I went from Ironforge to the end of the questline in 1 hour and 16 minutes.
So you can do this under 2 hours easily.
XP not including Exploration it's a total of 10,750xp with exploration is around 11k XP get a 12 slot bag a decent bow for level 23 if you don't find a better one.
Plus XP bonuses for 2 hours at a time.
So it's not really a waste of time if you plan it accordingly.  I could probably cut even more time if I didn't pause a couple times.

But now that I know the pathing avoiding fresh in my head I can probably do this closer to 1 hour. :)
When I did on my paladin earlier I did stop to check where I was going and it took under 2 hours un optimized and did take a detour to Theramore first to get the FP.

For horde probably the swim to westfall from your port would be ideal since you come up closer to deadmines and can go straight to the farm.
I'll do it in a bit when I finish leveling my horde tester to 14.

hope this helps Yes swimming from the quest to STV was 20 minutes FYI.
Bonus: Basically an entire level doing this and when I started I had I had about 80 silver on this character at the end I was over 2 gold so quick cash too.
Question someone asked you you can stack campfire buff Xp and Food buff XP with the sleeping back xp
So rested Xp from the camp, 5% from food and 3% from the bag. Hell yes

The biggest argument I see is time saved is not enough. Well sure if you are pure numbers
But who plays 100% of the time in the game zero downtime ever.
You have to wait for boats or groups. And when you need to log out
Well use it then during the down times that is where the time saver kicks in.
If you are in the middle of nowhere and inn is farther away go and you need to log. Pop the sleeping back and portable inn you can log out.
TLDR You can get a level and Gold from doing it. Helps Can be done rather quickly if you are smart about it.
It's a time saver and it's convenience which is why I'll do it.
Plus it's funny when entire groups are in it.

Gonna do this Horde side now, good step by step guide. You can also zep to Grom'gol and run/graveyard hop through STV in order to pick up [Night Watchman's Torch] along the road entering Darkshire. Edit: It would have been helpful showing the map in Wetlands since it is covered by fog of war

That was super helpful thanks, one thing that would have been a little helpful is if you put the coords on the screen when you mention them, cheers!

Doing the math IF it still took around 250 hours to hit 60 which it doesnt, It would only save you 1 hour of time compared with the time that you spend sleeping. 250hr x 3%xp = 7.5hours saved. 250/2= 125(how many sleeps) 125 x 3min = 375m / 60m = 6.25 hours of sleeping  7.5 - 6.25 = 1.25 hours saved. So its not that crazy but nice light buff to stack with food and campfires.

This quest line seems very cool, my worry is that leveling is going to be so much faster now with all the quests and more xp options that it is not even worth doing this.

Ahh they made it easier overall. One of the points was really hard . When it first came out .  From westfall  you can just swim it to booty back instead of running the road of STV? or is that not a thing?

Great recap on this quest chain.  I would recommend 1 thing. Swim from westfall to bootybay. On beta I didn’t run into any mobs or get fatigue. Ezepeze.

Does this stack with campfire xp buff or cooking buff?

I am wondering with how long this takes to get if the 3% gain wouldn't be better suited grinding some mobs....

Can other people use the sleeping bags or will we all have to get one? Is it like camping seems like it would be a waste to go get it if I can use other people’s

What if I told you there is a good chance that Blizzard will change the level you can get the sleeping bag and where and who gives it will change before release...
