I have designed four homes for this family over the past 12 years.

When we first met, they were newlyweds, and now that their child has grown, their lifestyle and the way they use their space have changed significantly.

Given how long we have been together, for this home, rather than simply redecorating, I rethought what spaces this family truly needs right now.

The living room, which used to be TV-centric, was transformed into a study-style living room where they can read, study, and converse. The largest room was converted from a bedroom into a large walk-in closet to organize the family's clothes and belongings in one place.

Thanks to this, everyone in the family can now have their own bedroom and time.

The narrow and cramped entrance was expanded, and the kitchen layout was changed to ensure the living room, dining area, and kitchen flow naturally together.

Furthermore, the artwork was not merely a decoration to fill empty walls at the end; it was considered alongside furniture, lighting, and spatial perspectives from the design stage. The goal was to allow the family to naturally view the artwork while living there, and for the child to experience art within their daily life.

From their newlywed home to their current home where their child has grown.
