The Wally Wing technique involves a feather that separates into two wings, creating a unique appearance in the fly, making it seem as if it has a life of its own.

This tying technique, called the "Wally Wing," was invented by a Canadian angler and fly tyer named Wally Lutz sometime in the 1970s, resulting in beautiful flies that blend artistry and realism.
