Is Thor the most powerful superhero?!

Fun fact. Tom Hiddleston originally auditioned for the role of Thor, never did for Loki. But the director Kenneth Branagh thought he was more suited for the God of Mischief. What a perfect casting. I guess even before the movie, he already coveted to be Thor!

One of my favorite jokes in this movie is one that usually flies over most people heads: When Thor regains his powers, defeats the Destroyer and reunites with Selvig, Darcy, Jane and the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. he refers to Coulson as 'Son of Coul' since he's using the traditional Norse nomenclature for last names (Odinson, Laufeyson, Odinsdottir). It's SUPER geeky and I love it.

48:00 - "Dr. Donald Blake" is a huge nod to the comics- that was Thor's mortal alter ego when he was first introduced in the 1960s.

"Oh Frigg." Haha, good one, invoking Odin's wife!

So the thing about The Destroyer, which the movie doesn't really make too clear, is that it isn't "a guy" at all: it's an enchanted suit of armor, animated by the king of Asgard to carry out his will. Thus, Thor addresses Loki through it, because Loki can see and hear through it, because his will is animating it.

Jen often calls out to Thor's mother--FRIG!

"Earth: Toilet of the Universe" Put that on a tee-shirt and you'll sell a crapload of them.

Everytime I watch this and see Thor call Phil "Son of Coul" I laugh like a little child!

In the comics Jane Foster is a nurse. The three warriors are like the musketeers of Asgard. Sif is so awesome in the movie.

I really like Kat Dennings (and her character) in the MCU.

The original concept was that he was a regular guy who worked as a medic (the fake ID scene is a nod) who became Thor when he lifted the hammer. The MCU took elements from various iterations of the character from the comics and merged them into what most fans know today from these movies.

12:31 banished him to Earth! Rough! - that was my favorite.

You didn’t include one of the great MCU ad libs: in the scene where Odin is berating Thor, Loki does start to say something, and Odin turns, points, and just growls at him. That was a complete improvisation by Anthony Hopkins, and the scared look on Loki’s face was genuine surprise and fear by Tom Hiddleston.
