Lamenter: “Brother, I’ve been shot”
Calix: “Yes, but how does that make you feel about your mother?”
Lamenter: 🥺

Guilliman: "Calgar, who are these... 'Lamenters'?"
two days of explaining later
"By the throne just send them all of the primaris marines, Emperor knows they'll need them." (Ultra-depression worsens)

Congratulations on finishing chemo! Much love to both of you.

ArbitorIan sent me on this crusade. Loving this channel! Thank you for your work and look forward to exploring more than just my favourite chapter 😁

The Lamenters chapter is one of chapters I like the most - they do what they are actually created for - protect human population.
Which makes them one of the best things this whole 40k universe have. Period.

Part of me wants to make a Marine customisation with two peg-legs, a hook for a hand and a boltgun with the ammo clip hanging out awkwardly, drill bullet-holes all over it and paint it in Lamenters' 13th company colours, then finish it off with a name-plaque on the bsae saying "LUCKY"...

I now feel like painting my Leviathan box as fire angels for the shits and giggles now

I always liked to think that the reason it took a while for the Lamenters to form a Death Company was that it just took them that long for any one member of the chapter to live long enough to fall to the Black Rage. Suitably grim and tragic for them, and more or less in-line with everything we do know about the chapter since they keep getting nearly wiped out.

They are the embodiment of the expression "Bloodied but unbowed," getting hammered over and over and coming back for more, because its the right thing to do

Talk about unlucky. Even the yellow paint named after them was discontinued

For the lunatic who wants a Blood Angel army, but also loves the Badab War part of the background, but also hates themselves enough to paint checks...

The funny thing about the warp, is that because everyone believes their chapter is cursed, the Lamenters are actually cursed.

As a Raptors player its always funny seeing really old Badab war material that has us in our horrendous old colour scheme. Also that 1999 list has the Raptors as "unknown founding" whereas today they are a 2nd Founding Raven Guard Successor, which is a pretty major change. Forge World really gave us a glow up

Has anyone already suggested Slaughterhouse III is probably a reference to the Kurt Vonnegut novel Slaughterhouse Five? About POWs surviving the firebombing of Dresden and some aliens who can "see" the past like any other dimension

The Emperor did not stutter when he ordered the space marines to be a bulwark against the terror. The realms of humanity must be protected, and it is not the job of space marines to determine which are worthy of salvation. Every life must be protected at all costs. When compared to the Lamenters, all other chapters have been negligent in their duty.

ITS MAH BOIS!

YESSS. This was great, and I loved all the little bits of info I never heard of before. And happy to have helped contribute two illustrations cause there just is not enough Lamenters art in the world.

CRABB FOREVER.

I started collecting Lamenters specifically because of Wib's rogue trader collection and they're now one of my favourite 40k factions - I massively appreciate you guys for making this video and giving the Lamenters the love they deserve!

As a nurse, looking at the yellow of Lamenters, it reminds me of plasma ie blood minus the red blood cells. Thank you for a great video!

The Lamenters are one of the most cool chapters. Their misfortune makes them so much more compelling than the mega cool mega tough chapters that always win
