As a romanian I recognise 99% of these dishes AMAZING

They eat a lot of fresh veggies! and no waste of food, the leftovers eaten next day. Great!

To me, Greece is Paradise on earth.

I love how grandma’s cook up a feast with one simple pairing knife and a spoon, no fancy utensils or pots or knives but will still be the most satisfying soul food of your life…. 😊❤ grandma went all out for her kids

In 1980 my friends and I had finished our nurse training, we worked for 6 months and then we went to the Greek islands for 3 months, we slept on the beach or rented rooms, we ate in small tavernas got bread from the village bakeries every morning it was the best time of my life

I swear every nonna, Yia-Yia, and nanna has the same tiny vegetable paring knife 😂

I swear I would be happy living there. So natural, beautiful, and peaceful..

That's the real greek food! I'm tired of seeing hundreds of youtubers all going to the same tourist traps in Athens!

I missing Greece so much that each memory hurts

Hi my friend, i do not know who you are but i want to say these words. I'm Turkish and i've felt like my home while watching this video. Everything clearly same as ours including plates, bazaars, and foods obviously. We have same pink bowl what yiayas mixing ingredients on it.  One more time i've realized as we two countries are closer than i think. Wishing healty days and take care yourself. Keep going like that.

I was privileged to live in north west Greece, Arta, near the most beautiful, mystical mountains and valleys, with my then Greek partner, I'm English. I was accepted into the villages and beyond, taught traditional cooking, fishing in rivers, growing fruit, vegetables, salads, nuts, herbs, olives, gods foods and chemical free home made wine, and very strong alcohols. I loved the warmth of the Greek people and my life there, just beautiful.

We have very near eating habits in Alexandria,  Egypt. . Some are exactly the same & in our family feta cheese is always beside our meals. . Thank you so much grandma for this loving video. .
God bless you .. & surrounds you with His special endless love to you. .❤

This is the kind of food I love.  Simply prepared, no fancy ingredients.  Cooked like a master and downright delicious

With a few small exceptions, this is what your neighbors in Bulgaria are eating too. Lots of delicious homegrown and homemade food. 😋 yum!

I truly enjoyed everything about this video. The food, music, and the simplicity of nature intertwined!

The love of a grandma is immesurable...making so much food everyday!

This is such a beatifull life, chillin in the sun, gardening, cooking, going to the markets eating vegetables and fruits out of the region, hot Coffee.
what a place

I wish I could just jump into this video and come back out when I had tasted everything in it. A lot of similarities with southern Italian cooking, especially the region of Puglia. Of course, we are cousins , as my Greek friends say.

Oh my God. My first boyfriend was Greek and we were together for 10 years and we used to go back to Komotini for many holidays from
University and his mother taught me the basis of my cooking today. I miss them so much especially his Mum who adored me and wanted me to marry her son. Her spinach and meat and cheese pies were more than amazing. I cringe at frozen filo and don’t attempt to cook with it but one thing Incant do is the pastry 😢 Happy days ❤

I love Greece. And Greek food. Feeling peckish watching this, and it's only 5 a.m.
