I also stopped dying my hair at 44 and did not get support from my husband or family. It was very hurtful. But, I did what I wanted, and so many strangers come up to me now and compliment my grey hair. I love not having to dye my hair anymore. It's so liberating.

Ironically I don’t even see the grey now on her after the dye section was removed.

I stopped dying my hair around 10 years ago, before my 40s. Everyone fought me all the way, my now ex partner, my family, most of my friends.

I just recently had them cut into a bob with a keratin treatment to stop them from frizzing and I love them so much!
I'll be 49 in a few days.

It was my husband who encouraged me to go grey about 10 years ago. I had long silver curls up until two weeks ago. It was getting too long so I had it cut to shoulder length. Much easier to manage. I get stopped by strangers who tell me what beautiful hair I have. Most people tell me that I actually look younger with the grey hair. Best thing that my husband ever encouraged me to do. To be free of colouring is so liberating.

I admire everyone who embrace their grey hair. I cannot make that shift. I am 65 and keep it my natural brown. Someday I’m sure I will take the plunge, maybe when I turn 80.😊

She looks wonderful. A few weeks ago, having grown my grey out for 13 months, I had all the colour cut out. I'm in my mid 50s and wish I'd done it years ago. I know I'll never colour it again and that represents a kind of freedom for me.

My former stylist used a lot of negative talk to keep me from growing out my gray hair—“it ages you,” “your gray isn’t pretty,” etc. My current stylist is the opposite. She encouraged me to grow it out! I’m 65, I have a stylish bob, and I get several compliments every week!

Gray hair is gray hair, some people look amazing with it and some don't. It's really more about how you feel, if you like it then go with it, if you don't then make changes. And, I wouldn't worry too much about what your mum says, most times mothers want to live vicariously through their daughters and try to impose their opinions and views on them. Your hair looks amazing and you look like a young vibrant woman, don't let grays define you.

I’ve never dyed my hair, but I must confess that I started noticing my grey hair quite late, at around 45. My hair is very fine, so about ten years ago I decided to go for a very short pixie cut. I chose to embrace these changes rather than fight against them.
