Rent-A-Girlfriend is an absurdly garbage Harem Anime that somehow managed to get 5 ENTIRE SEASONS (with a 6th one currently in production) and I've had the misfortune of watching all of them through. I think it's easily one of, if not the WORST Anime I've seen in my entire life as the entire 5 season "slow burn" romance slowly but sure morphs into one of the most unchanging, unmoving garbage pieces of media!!!!! The crazy thing to me about this series is that it's been out for SO long that even most of the audience is probably married by now meanwhile the MC can't make progress after 5 seasons lmao. It's like the whole intended audience is already gone.

12:29 This is an insult to ALL harem protagonists. Most harem protagonists are at LEAST able to hold a conversation and interact with girls in everyday scenarios. The only times they can be seen as ‘perverted’ is when they are PUT into awkward or fan servicey moments through the plot strong arming them into them. Besides, even when put into those moments they are almost always shown to be rightfully flustered or taken aback by it, not giggling or relishing it like Kazuya does. He is less harem protagonist and more perverted best friend/side character to said harem protagonist.

Edit again: after watching the video, I think I'll say that the author was on some sort of toxins when they made this. Like what you mean the characters never changed all these entire seasons!? The fact that it's all been for fan service and gooning shows that the series was never meant to be interesting. Its a just a bunch girls going after this guy who act all tsunderes and the guy himself is weird. I don't think i wanna even blame the characters much, sure it's infuriating but it all comes down to the author.
