78 degrees? Whatever will you do?  At this very moment in Dallas is 98 degrees at 8:30 in the evening… down from 101.

I enjoy hickory sticks.

was watching the pink oak very nice wood  im a custom contractor out of new york worked for Warner Brothers set carpenter now living in North Carolina

i'm just watching a video of sawing, and i'm the one that get sawdust in the eye, what's up with that?

That old Detroit doesn’t start pulling good till it gets hot , then it starts lugging !

You know you love it !  It’s tough , but it rots fast , because of the sugar in the wood , he had better keep oil on it , to preserve !

Is this "Shag-bark hickory? If it is i think grain is wavy. Is that why its such a stinker to saw.

Poor Ole hickey log... but IT'S nice to  BBQ WITH 😊❤

Tough sawing from a Tough saw crew. !!! Thank you Mark 👏🙏

Nice work, Men- I'm curious how many sort piles are out there beyond the big saw? I guess 4. - 1 for outside pieces with bark,(burn?) 1 for partial lengths with defects, thins to create standard wiidths and prime cuts? Then further along- the slices are I suppose cross cut and ripped to cut  out defects and standard withs and stacked nicely to dry.  I like how Chewey resembles a chain saw but she looks a bit damaging.. Thanks.

I will be 27 yrs. sober on May 26th. but that music makes me want to go to the Honky Tonk. LOL. No problem, I'm 70 and listen to ROCK & ROLL. Never was a fan of country music. Hickory is great wood. My family pulped out a property to Georgia Pacific  years ago. There was one old hickory and two Ponderosa Pines they were told to not touch. They cut them all. Hope nobody got hurt when they sawed that Hickory. I built a tree house in it way before that. It was full of square nails.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Love the videos.

Thanks!

my birthday is on  may 6th Michael Rixie

That’s a lot of hickory handle stock !

What species of hickory?
