I wouldn't change my '70s teen years for anything in the world. It was a golden time!

This music was indicative of the creative spirit of music being made throughout the 1960's and 1970's. REAL talented musicians with unbelievable skills!

It’s awesome seeing young people appreciating the music and keeping them alive !

This guitar solo is the pure, distilled essence of Rock and Roll.

2026.... we still REMEMBER

One of the greatest moments ever

The pianist was a classically trained musician. He used to be a roadie for the band and they heard him playing In between shows . They immediately employed him

The 70's were a turning point on how music was performed and that when a lot of super groups were born. Led Zep, Supertramp, Chicago, and the list of 100's more.

Ronnie the guy singing died in the plane crash, Steve the guitarist with red pants died and his sister Cassie that sings backup died.. The others were injured very badly and the only reason any survived is the plane run out of fuel. Ronnies brother Johnny is the lead singer today in the group. The last founding member passed away in 2023.

The 70's. The greatest decade ever! Listening to them on 8 track in the car. Being a teen at that time gave me the some of the greatest memories of my life!

For Skynyrd, as noted by others, Simple Man is a must, Tuesday's Gone, The Ballad of Curtis Loew, and add Gimme Three Steps.

This was day on the green in Oakland, California. The girls were all upfront because Peter Frampton was coming on next. This is at the height of his fame and the girls all love Peter Frampton.

Pretty girls & rock-n-roll.....it was a FABULOUS time to be a teenager.  I'm an old man now but I wouldn't trade my youth to live in ANY OTHER TIME.

One of the greatest moments in rock history

Billy was a trained classical pianist. It was also a roadie change the equipment onto the gigs. They found out he played the piano when they recorded this this song I heard him play it that intro to it.

Guy in the white Wrote the song in HIGH  School, Allen  Collins, Bad ass❤

For sure learning about the crash just before the reaction weighed heavy on you. It makes it more of a realistic reaction. Awesome 👍

The south will rise again🤘

Simple man is one the best stories ever written music wise

Thank you for your respectful, dignified, and moving reaction to these great talented men. It was a tragedy. I am a child of the 70's and we lost a lot of great musicians so young, so often! This is one of my 3 favorite songs ever written. The others are Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" (please listen to THEIR original version, studio, album). And "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" please listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's version live. Lynyrd Skynyrd was my siblings' favorite group growing up. Please listen to their studio version of "Simple Man'. I am so happy you got to experience them this way. They live on in us eternally. God bless them and you.
