Thanks a bunch! It was very useful. I created 2 engraving practice plates  immediately after I watched this. It works! The stickiness of the varnish and the amount of acetone is crucial.

Could you use an ink printer?

I need to get it on without the varnish for etching and I just can't get it to cooperate!  I've tried cutting it in half, less acetone and so on and nothing.  I've had some results with partial images but that's it.
