Every rookies worst nightmare. I may not know enough about truck driving but at least I have the balls enough to get out and help him navigate. I'm sure truckers appreciate that.
I'm a driver. I can sympathize with the stress of that type of situation. I've been in some tight spots myself. Your brain is fucked for the rest of the day. You feel like the whole world is watching and judging you. I commend the driver for remaining composed and doing his best.
I sympathize with this truck driver. Average person has no idea how stressful this job is. It doesn’t help when other drivers around you have zero patience and no respect.
I did the same thing myself thinking how the hell do I get out of this? I was so rattled. Some guy came out and helped me get out of the situation. I was so grateful for his help.
I just got my CDL license and I can truly say it's one thing to be at school learning and it's another thing when you're out here in the world the driver was patient enough to wait on help..It's called getting experience
This happened to me once in the Bronx. My GPS told me to get off the highway at the wrong exit, and the fun immediately began. And for extra spice and excitement, I was in a commercial area. I almost took out a street lamp making a left turn. I had to get out and put my tandems all the way up in order to make the turn. Folks, DO NOT EVER use Co-Pilot as your trucking GPS. Nothing but garbage. I can't tell you how many times it has put me in stressful situations.
I found myself in this situation once in Montreal Quebec. One fella got the neighborhood together and moved the cars I needed to move, to get out of it. Love you Canada! Always had a great experience! For those do not understand how we get in this mess, we are visitors, and can get lost, just like everyone else. I found myself in an apartment complex in NJ at 2AM once. Missed my Jersey jug handle. If you don't know what that is, neither did I until I seen it. And there is a reason they call them Jersey barriers.
He could've swung a little wider but with his tandems that far forward he probably was worried his tail swing would clip the cars parked/passing on the other side. On the other hand Western Express doesn't have the best rep. for hiring the best.
Edit: Everything looks easier looking down on it, it's a different perspective in that seat. It's a lot you can't see.
