This is the end of an age, ladies and gents, the talentless writers at BioWare have written us into a narrative hole deeper than the Deep Roads themselves; with no way to dig ourselves out - the IP as we know it cannot recover from this travesty - that's the plain and honest reality to those with open eyes and basic critical thinking skills. All your past choices have been deleted, ignored and spat on, everything that made Dragon Age what it was has been buried under the rubble of a once great RPG brought low by narcissists and activists without a drop of talent.

I will not sugar-coat this for you, nor will I apologise for being as harsh and brutal as is well deserved. An IP that I once loved has died and there's no reviving it :( such is life, I will be angry then move on to better games made by better companies; as the BioWare we knew and loved has pasted into shadow.

I played about 18hrs and uninstalled (first time I've ever done that)

The infantile writing was too much - example - I turn up in Antiva, within 5 seconds a chick walks up to me and goes "Heyyy it's YOU, wanna meet the Crows inner circle?"
The leader of the Crows immediately opens up about her deepest secret to ME - 5 seconds after meeting me
The next day the leader is killed / captured and none... NOT ONE of the frigging scheming professional assassins accuses me, the person who coincidentally showed up the day before as maybe being responsible!!

It's like that all the way through - and the first people you meet in every situation are the ones you instantly side with for the duration of their storyline, regardless of who turns up with possible alternatives "Nah get lost, maybe if I'd met you first - but how can I take you seriously when I've already spoken to these other loses"

I didn't think it was possible for a computer game to be a moron.

I'm mainly upset that they ruined everything the old writers had setup, and Morrigan's ending makes me so bitter.

They took the option of being evil, or any general roleplay mechanics, out of the game so that you couldn't be mean to a certain character. It's very obvious. And they were willing to ruin dragonage's legacy as a RPG over it.

Here's what really bugs me about DA:V and I think its telling of the poor world-building....
Where is all of the racism?
Seriously, Thedas in Origins was made very clear as being a hyper-racist group of societies. It was flawed and dark. It made for good storytelling when you played as an alienage elf and saved people who treated you like trash. Or when you were a mage and everyone treated you as a demonic time-bomb.
Not once did someone in Veilguard call my elf "knife-ears", or even imply that we were second class. And why aren't the Dalish crazy xenophobes anymore? We are in Tervineter, like the most elitist, slavery having place in their world, and you feel none of it.

My new canon is the Inquisitor after beating the base game of Inquisition slipped on a rock and gave themselves a concussion induced fever dream and imagined everything after.

Makes me sad to see the death of dragon age, a series I loved growing up. I just want to see the end of the story and see my playthrough choices come together finally.

The whole idea of Varric being dead the whole time can't fucking work. The minute you wake up, either Neve or Harding would have literally said it even before you say anything else. Logically there is just no way your character won't realise very early on after waking up that varric was dead. Harding and Neve accompany you to the ritual site and none of them even mention something like "This is where that bastard killed Varric" or maybe "we have to find the thing that killed varric". It's just not possible not unless solar makes everyone see the hallucination

Undoes everything ever done in any Dragon Age story. WTF. WOW. It's worse than bad. That makes those games wastes of time, and crearing a game that ruins other games is just dumb? Iiiiiickkkkkk

What in the holy hell happened to writing, nuiance, and character depth in the last 10 years ? 😢 I am so glad I didn't purchase this trash fire. I did replay DA:O, though.
