It's clear that it was a really good move to switch to 15|10 time controls.  Nelson is frequently using 14+ minutes of his time.

Proud of myself for seeing that tactic of taking the bishop with rook, leaving Nelson's other rook undefended. Meanwhile I'm still stuck in the 1300's elo 😂

That second game when he offered the draw, "I don't want to play this position because its boring but we've come this far..." Then look how it finished 😀

Game 2: In Jobava, you wanna delay the Nf3 move, usually you just play e3 and then Bd3. Because if Black plays Bf5 at this position, you can launch a pawn storm with f3, then g4 and h4. This leads to fun very fun attacking lines on the kingside and you get to force-trade Black's light square bishop off.

Thanks again for another amazing stream, Nelson! I really enjoy how you keep trying new openings and different ideas instead of playing the same thing every stream. It makes the games super fun to watch while also helping us learn a lot of new concepts and positions. Keep up the awesome content 😊🙏
Answer of your question - Jobava London

3:19 "Whats up Rob?"

Just straight up FINDING e6 in the fantasy variation without having the theoretical knowledge of the position shows an insane level of positional thinking ability

Man, I am really enjoying this brandnew razor-focused nelson content!

Thank you for these tubes.  I have played chess all my life, but have always been really bad (450-ish) but it still fun.  I am hoping you do a tube on scanning rules (or techniques), i have been thinking that offensive pieces:

1. pawns and kings (including enpassant)
2. verticals and horizontals (rooks and queens)
3. diagonals (bishops and queens)
4. knights (if still on the board)

as an order to follow.  What's change is great, but too many deltas, can lead to loss of full context.

PS: today I was amazed to learn, that you can castle thru check (so long as king does not) 🙂

This was exactly what I needed, thanks!

3:18:21 this made me laugh knowing how much Nels loves to calculate every possibility 😂

More jobava!

2:40 - The Albin Counter Gambit - has some viscous lines if White isn’t careful; including the particularly vicious (and IMO humorous) Lasker Trap — which you under promote  to a Knight with check.

mvp total del trading hoy, gracias por compartir la estrategia

7:00 - It’s h5. It’s the best way to play vs. The Main Line 6. c3 as White avoids Nf3 and blocks Re8+ with Ne2.

Also it’s played before castling occurs, with h4 vs. short and “Nf8 never mate”  and launch a pawn storm if Long.

Watching the replay on 1.5x speed so it still feels like 10min Rapid

реально балик таял на глазах, но эмоции от открытия стоят того

Let's go!!!!

What an amazing game to end on
