The video is finally free from copyright claims! I hope that everyone at Miramax had an awful weekend.

Nice 2001 edit

Well done bro!!

We are so back baby

Fantastic series retrospective video

Still hands down one of the best Scream breakdowns on the internet, and one that I rewatch regularly. Well done, sir! 😱

1, 4, and 6 are the coolest! scream 6, despite Sydney's absence, turned out to be very unusual and unexpectedly cool + the scene on the train is a contender for legendary status

Give "Scream 3" some credit.

It's a campy thriller with violence.

YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!

The censorship in the late 90s was ridiculous.

The one thing that really hurts Scream 2022 IMO is that it was obviously filmed during the height of COVID. The scope is so small and claustrophobic and I can't help but notice every time I watch it. Everything is shot so close up, there's hardly any establishing shots, wide shots are non-existent, and the Macher house studio recreation was bad. Like really bad. You can literally see the fake grass rolled up when Chad is being attacked. And where are the chase scenes?! There aren't any because there's no room to shoot one in 😅. Ghostface just pops up and stabs. There's no stealth behind his movements, he's suddenly just there and then he isn't. I don't know maybe it's just me? But this really hurts the film in my opinion. Plus all the other issues you mentioned as well.

The best part of it was seeing how Gale and Sid's relationship had evolved over the course of these five movies. Seeing them embrace, comfort, and have each other's back was actually quite beautiful as cheesy as it sounds. Like I could watch those two team up against Ghostface for eternity and I would be happy. Their relationship is what saved Scream 7 for me. There's just something so special about it❤❤❤.

Scream 6 was 🗑️. I'm sorry I didn't like it at all. Sure there are a lot more kills and they're brutal. But it's nobody characters getting it so there aren't any consequences. They regressed Gale just so there was some tension between her and the characters. All they had to do was say she wrote the book to protect Sam since she was being targeted as the killer online. A simple fix but no. And don't even get me started on the motive as it was so full of plot holes it wasn't even funny. I come to expect certain plot holes in the films as they all have them but it's extra in this one. You can tell it was all put together in not even a year's time.

And as terrible the motive was in 7 I still prefer it to 6. It's again saved by Sid and Gale's relationship. The characterization of Gale (who had a criminally small amount of screen time) was peak. Everything from her corny yet badass introduction scene "Did I get him?" to the small humanizing touches such as her struggling with tremors from her attack in six really hit home. Why they couldn't have her have one more phone call scene with  an AI Dewey is beyond me?

I feel the need to remind you that dewey wasn't just stabbed in scream 5. He was stabbed with two knives, one in his stomach and one in his back. Then, the killer ripped up, gutting him. His injuries were NOT comparable to anything else in that movie.
