We went on the big red bus in Sept 2024, we walked for most of the time, but we had a guide who told us about all the buildings, then we went to a cafe and went out on a speed boat, unfortunately the boat had to turn back after sufferring engine trouble. We are hoping to do the trip again in September.

Really good to watch your video and to hear more about some of the buildings. When you go to 'the other end in September' would you stop outside 'Les Sirens Court' which is about 100m before the entrance to the beach at that end? You can still make out the sign above the entrance. My wife's parents own the apartment 3rd floor on the right hand side with the balcony and my wife has many memories of the apartment, sun bathing on the balcony and on the beach on the other side. So sad that a solution that would allow all to return can't be found. Thanks

Since you have all those child memories from Famagusta, It is really a shame, not to mention anything about the actual owners of all those properties, the Greek Cypriots who were chased away from the Turks. But as someone else commented, now you are learning about Islam right in your country. I am a Greek Cypriot from Famagusta, now leaving in Dherynia, from where I can see my hometown and watching your video that brought me memories, you will not believe, I was fourteen years old, in 1974, I studied in that High school, you video, and I got pissed when I saw the Turkish flag. You know behind that flag it is written " 1st Greek Gymnasium of Famagusta". It is a nice video but you must have menrioned something about the Greek Cypriots that lived there.

Those building were peoples properties that were stolen because they were Greek ….and Britain I am sorry to say had a lot to do with it ….it is really a stain in UK’s history…anyway the UK is learning nicely now about Islam
