Our wedding had been huge — really grand — with a big album full of photos. At the interview, there were two officers; we were mostly chatting casually while they flipped through the album, almost in awe, with their mouths open at how big and lavish the wedding was. In our culture, it’s normal to have about 500 guests and everything done in a majestic way.
My husband talked about his video game company, and honestly, the whole interview felt more like a friendly conversation. There were none of those compromising or uncomfortable questions like in that video. We were approved right away. At the time, I was seven months pregnant.
After twelve years, that marriage ended, and I later married someone from my homeland. Now we’re waiting for another interview — and after watching that video, I can’t lie, it gave me chills
