The city of Cusco is terrified after details emerged of a crime that occurred in recent days. The victim was identified as Rhudy Benavides, a tour guide who was not only murdered by two close friends, but was also dismembered and cooked by his victims inside a building.

According to information presented during the prosecutor's hearing, the accused, Gabriel Alexis Luis Condori and Óscar Franco Tinco, both 21 years old, allegedly committed the crime under circumstances that are still being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office. The case has generated great shock due to the violence of the acts.

Prosecutor Thamara Catacora presented the details of the case to the Judiciary and requested pretrial detention for those involved. The judge in charge ordered nine months of pretrial detention while the investigations continue and the responsibility of the accused is determined. They will be held in a penitentiary.

Residents of the city of Cusco expressed their concern and fear in the face of this gruesome crime and asked judicial authorities to impose an exemplary punishment on those responsible for the murder. They also stated that they expect increased police presence on the streets and justice in a case that has caused alarm throughout the region.
