That commentary on the no phone and no headphones rules is the most gen alpha thing ever. That phone is the reason why you want and need constant stimulation and legitimately cooks brains. The phone ban is a great thing that tries to fix the problem because gen alpha, in general, has problems paying attention, and are harder to teach if they can't focus on an assignment, on reading, on the main idea, much less the details, of a story or subject at hand. I can even tell from my personal experience as a teacher that kids like that are harder to teach, we are just trying to catch up and find new teaching methods to counter the dopamine-spoilt brains. I know you don't like not having your phone and that it's inconvenient to you, but guys genuinely need to learn how to be bored and be left alone with your own thoughts instead of constantly consuming the ideas and narratives (and advertisements) of others without the time to think about them.
