Thanks for the video! Finally, someone to explain the basics of a training on an RC heli simulator! 👍👍👍👍👍

Great video!!  There is another great option in Heli-X hover training that you did not mention.  You can choose a rotation speed ranging from 0 to 5 revolutions per minute, which causes the heli to rotate while you are hovering, continually changing its orientation.  It really helps to improve your control in all orientations.

Kudos to always developing and revising content. I started 2 years ago with your other series and can finally do basic 3D!

Also the editing and splashscreens are getting to a pro level. Love em

Great job pal - exactly what we were discussing!!  This.......................  is what is so badly needed - a new fresh approach to it.  I've got some videos in the wings which will direct people here as part of their beginner setup journey.

thank you!!!

Totally awesome.

GREAT VIDEO 👏👏👏👏

Great video Richard, very well explained and as you have said many times a simulator is a must, have👍

Good video... Thanks

Thank you - so much for doing this.

I'm definitely referring some ppl from Reddit to your videos. Several complaints about no new videos to help out. Fresh news start for beginners or returning back to basics. I appreciate the time you've taken. 🤝

Having trouble deciding on Heli-X & Next. I've been using RF for my fixed wing practice, & AccuRC for heli. But for heli I need a sim that's up to date with updates and DLC possibilities. 🤷🏼

This will be great for beginners, keep up the good work!, don't neglect the more advanced tutorials though....some of us need the inspiration 😂

Hi Richard! Again you explanations are so logical and easy to understand that I watched the whole video. I love precise hover training and I do it now, after lots of practice, between, above and under natural obsticles like high grass, soft bushes, trees and so on. This makes it more fun (if you search for soft obticles, not "killing" the heli at the first contact. This "sling line' / payload similar" training would have been much, much two difficult in my first even two years, because the "thing" on the end of the sling needs as well attention - if its in the air or still on ground. If it gets hooked somwehere. A beginner could get frustrated because it's in my opinion much more difficult than it seems to be. Thank you, Richard, and best greeting from Matthias!

This is exactly the sort of thing I need. I've just started, I have an S2 Max and Heli-X and am going through the process of learning orientations. I can hover tail and nose in, side on is better facing left rather than right. I'll practice the shapes you showed later.
Your explanations are really clear, what would massively help me is taking a slight step back and explaining in newbie terms what the controls do (cyclic, elevator etc) as I'm still struggling with it. You mentioned cyclic in this video so I'm starting to piece it together but then there's other setting like expo, gain and agility that I have no idea about.
Thank you for creating this series. I'm looking forward to learning from these videos

Thank you very much for your excellent explanation. I would like to know the following: I often have difficulties landing exactly on a certain point, the last meter so to speak... Should I do this while hovering 20cm above the ground - almost impossible, because the helicopter has its own life so low (ground effect)...
I'm really looking forward to your next episode.

Heli-X (latest 11) issue on how to unload cargo:
Configuration -> controller -> buttons / keyboard -> Training section: Unload Cargo

buttons: means assign button on your controller
keyboard: use keyboard button

I also recommend to use HUD -> Show keyboard definitions (very bottom in menu).
