I’ve had 2 cars stolen from my job at the Mall. Your insurance company will most likely tell you shady things that will benefit them and not you. Call the insurance commissioner to verify anything you think doesn’t sound right. Usually they won’t repair a car if it will cost more than 50% of the value. In my State, I had to call 2 or 3 car lots to get current selling value of the car, not book value. It would probably be good to do that anyway for when your insurance adjuster calls you.
