It was quite a bit of work to find and infer the climate info and the like from the scattered sources that we have not gonna lie, I needed the extra week (Hence why last week's video was a bit on the simple side)

You hit an invisible barrier, duh.

bro pronounces places of tamriel like he was born in whiterun

Fun fact: In the early version of Skyrim, Skyrim was about to be invaded by Uriel V (instead of Alduin). Who tried to invade Akavir but failed and he and his legions were believed to be dead (in the year 268 of the 3rd era). When they actually succeded in taking over Akavir. He then tries to claim Tamriel (his former empire) for himself and invades Skyrim with the help of dragons.

This has always been a favorite topic of mine in the Elder Scrolls. I'd love to see a game outside Tamriel. Perhaps Akavir since it's a fairly large continent with various environments.

I have a theory that Sloads look slightly less unappealing underwater much like blobfish.

In the year 3025, we'll be on Elder Scrolls LXXXVII (87) and finally get to play in 1/800 of Akavir. That or we'll have the 700th re-release of Skyrim.

One "cute" legend I heard about Atmora is that Kyne shouted the continent apart during the Dawn Era, forming what is now Atmora and Tamriel, and the Frosfall is the result of Atmora still slowly drifting north.
Somehow it tracks with the climate getting polar.

I don't remember where I heard it from, or the reason for shouting Atmora away, though.

Considering the ancient homeland of the Nords is located to the north, its possible scientifically that the continent is drifting further north into the arctic which would mean colder and colder seasons.

I like how he says Khöntanunts

In is interesting how seemingly the majority of continents on Nirn have been destroyed or otherwise lost in some manner leading to most of the survivors to settle on Tamriel and become the bulk of it's inhabitants by the 1st era and beyond.

Akavir being so mysterious gets my goat a little, since they both invaded and ruled in Tamriel for a time.

the elder scrolls legends map reminds me of old style cartographer maps where bays and things such as were exaggerated since that is what you need to know the most when navigating in a boat. you don't necessarily need to know all the geography of an area just the areas where you can dock your boat safely. i especially see this with a massively exaggerated Topal bay and iliac bay, which are two of the most important bays of tamriel making sense why they would be exaggerated so aggressively. using this we can look at the other continents seen i the art and use it to get a sense of the general shape of them, just with exaggerated features to help with navigation. apologies for a long winded comment but i just found it interesting and wanted to bring it up since im studying to be an archeologist and this stuff fascinates me.

Akavir is my most wanted setting for an ES game. There would be so much exploration, and the setting would truly feel alien.

literally yesterday i was thinking deeply about other planets in Mundus/ close to Nirn - to me the idea of "proper" aliens in the Elder Scrolls universe seems fascinating

Im glad we got a remastered oblivion, but i wish theyd just focus on tes6. I tried tes online, and it thought it was him, but it totally wasnt.
Same thing with fo76. Like i love seeing the new areas it just felt ironically kinda hollow as an online experience.
Great video btw, love the lore in both series.

My understanding is that the Pillar of Thras is a replacement for the Coral Tower and presumably still exists in the 4th Era.

Bethesda can make dozens of elder scrolls games beacuse of how gigantic nirn is, they should cover all tamriel provinces before going abroad

Altmeris probably wasn't on Nirn. The lack of plants is the key there. They didn't have farms, they didn't need to eat.
