Sukkot: The feast of Tabernacles
The seventh (and final) festival given to Yashar'el is called Sukkot or the "Feast of Tabernacles."
Sukkot is observed in the fall, from the 15th to the 22nd of the Seventh Month.
During this time many Natsarim families construct a sukkah, a small hastily built hut in which meals are eaten throughout the festival.
The sukkah is used to remember the huts Yashar'el lived in during their 40 year sojourn in the desert after the exodus from Egypt.
The festival of Sukkot has a prophetic dimension awaiting fulfillment.
As the "Day of Ingathering" of the harvest, Sukkot prefigures the gathering together of the Remnant Natsarim people in the days of the Messiah's reign on earth (Isa. 27:12-13; Jer. 23:7-8).
Indeed all of the nations of the earth that survived the Great Tribulation will come together to worship Yahuah in Yerushalayim during the Feast of Sukkot (Zech. 14:16-17).
Sukkot, therefore is a vision of olam haba, the world to come...
Sukkot also foreshadows Yahuah's sheltering Presence over Yashar'el in the millennial kingdom. No longer will Yashar'el be subject to the oppression of the ungodly nations of the world, but אלהים Himself will place His sanctuary in her midst (Ezek. 37:26-28).
Leviticus 23:38-43 "Beside the sabbaths of יהוה, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto יהוה.
Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto יהוה seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before יהוה your אלהים seven days.
And ye shall keep it a feast unto יהוה seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Yashar'elites born shall dwell in booths:
That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am יהוה your אלהים."
