Mine has done 124,000kms and nearly 5 yrs old. Drove to interstate and never missed a beat. Only issues are the annoying safety system and that DCT transmission

H6 GT owner here. Expect to be incapable of walking after a drive of a couple of hours length. You have to turn off the emergency lane assist EVERY time you drive because it's annoying and downright dangerous. Carplay does not work wirelessly without an after-market dongle. The dual-clutch transmission is an absolute punish, do not expect any kind of responsiveness from putting your foot down other than some jolting. Would be a much better car without it. The rear-view mirror is there because it probably has to be, other than that it's useless. Infortainment screen is difficult to use, even with that little ledge to rest your hand. You'll wonder how they fitted such a small boot into a such a large car. The hands-free boot opening worked....once....by accident. You won't have issues with the sunroof because you'll never want to use it unless you've already lost your hearing. The cruise control is also dangerous, if not more so than lane assist. Be careful approaching a levelling out road after a down slope, it might decide to lock up your brakes because it thinks you're going to hit something. The beeps, tones and flashing indicator lights on the dash are endless and useless. In fact, all the safety features are not made for Australian conditions and are just dangerous.

These things are everywhere here in South Africa, and truth be told, the value for money is insane. The main drawback they used to have was just how few dealerships and service centres there were, so there was a crazy backlog, and when the cars were serviced, they were serviced in a rush and thus, serviced very poorly. GWM has pretty much solved that issue over the past five years, so yeah. That being said, I can't stand how touch screen centric these cars are - well, these and pretty much all modern cars - so I've never really found myself gravitating towards one. And call me a fuddy duddy, but too much tech in a vehicle worries me, because it will break at some point.

I do like the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, though. And I'm partial towards the 300 Series/P300/Cannon.

Had an Uber ride in one, just a five minute ride, and the "safety tech" was insane. A truck was next to us at a red light and it was beeping and bonging like crazy. The lady kept cancelling it, but it kept doing it again.

My sister in law has one as a company car and she says she uses a hair tie to "blindfold' some kind of driver attention monitor otherwise it would drive her mad.

So yeah, probably not for me.

Took an Uber in one earlier this year in Melbourne CBD and the ride quality was absolute garbage. The suspension sounded like a bag of bolts and the thing had only travelled about 30,000km.

This will be interesting. I was looking at one of these brand new or or a second hand Kia Sorento. I ended up with the Kia and at 115, 000 ks its still going good.

The base H6 model petrol 2024 has been a great car for me without any issues yet for 2 years. Love the car. The only downside are the safety features that can't be turned off permanently , but that seems to be for all brands.

Classic story of why Toyota is still the world's most reliable.... you get less features but quality features as opposed to lots of features and no quality. Things that work after 5 years is true quality to me and things that work for 20 years is genius.
