I grew up in this era. Boy do i miss those days.

Sadly, Chris Benoit's murder suicide was what ended the Ruthless Aggression Era. 😢

I started watching WWE in 2007 during the Ruthless Aggression Era. I'm happy. 😀

Ruthless aggressions roster was STACKED. 85-90% of them are hall of fame material

Remember the days when liking wwe didnt make u feel like a kid😭 nowadays as someone who likes wwe i keep that hidden because its so pg now compared to back then

eddie vs ray for custody over dom is a classic, fucking loved vince story lines

This was the true last great era of the WWE

I started watching wrestling in 2002 when I was 11, I was drawn to it because I spent some of my school outfit budget on WCW/NWO Regenge. 😂  I stopped watching around 2006 but man wrestling is currently a shell of its old self

I got to tell you! The Ruthless Aggression Era is so much nostalgic to all of us wrestling fans! We had a great time watching them right around 2002 through 2008. Plus, I feel like you forgot to discuss some Cruiserweights like Billy Kidman, Tajiri, Jamie Noble, Funaki, Paul London, Scotty 2 Hotty, Akio, Spike Dudley, Chavo Guerrero, Brian Kendrick, Kid Kash, and the Mexicools!

Calling 2005 the hottest year in wwe history is just ridiculous. It’s no where near 98-2000

"the crowd still cheered for Michaels" that because we love him. we don't care if he's on a heel arc or a face arc, we love HBK and are going to cheer for him winning.

My opinion of each year of the RA Era

2002: the first and best year of the RA Era. Arguably the best Survivor Series and SummerSlam PPV’s of all time are from this year and the legendary rivalries between Triple H and Shawn Michaels and The Smackdown Six was are defining moments of the 2000s era of the company. What I don’t like about this year is that this was one of Raw’s worst years due to some of the worst storylines of all time with Katie Vick and HLA. Also this was when The Reign Of Terror began.

2003: A step down from 2002 but still a good year with probably the greatest roster in WWE history. The rosters were unbelievably stacked in both Raw and SmackDown. I mean this was a transitional period for WWE given the elements of the Attitude Era were still being used at the time. Speaking of SmackDown, the blue brand was already in its prime in 02 but 2003 arguably the best year in the brands’ history. The Kurt and Brock feud, Cena’s Doctor Of Thuganomics, and the incredible tag team division. Unfortunately this is another terrible year for Raw. The storylines were all over the place and Triple H’s reign of Terror was in pure form and fans legit didn’t not want to watch Raw because of it. The only positives about Raw that year is the Kane/Shane feud and Hollywood Rock.

2004: I originally loved this year but revisiting it now, this year has aged a bit worse that I remembered. This year was a mixed bag. There were a still a ton of highs and the highs were incredible. Mania 20, Backlash and the rises of Beniot, Eddie and JBL but the low were really low. I still hold my opinion that this is the worst year in SmackDown history. The roster was complete garbage after the departures and injuries of many top stars and the PPVs from the Blue Brand were awful as well. Raw was really good in 04 but even it had some terrible stuff like The Tomko/Stevie storyline and the horrible Lita/Kane storyline which is one of many things that prove how much of fucking creep McMahon is. 2004 is an average year overall.

2005: My personal favorite year of the RA Era. Both Raw and SmackDown were strong that year and this is probably the greatest year in terms of rivalries. There were so many legendary feuds in 2005 that you can pretty much make an entire video on it.  Not to mention the classic shows from this year as well. Great year.

2006: 2006 WWE gets a bad reputation and understandably so because once again like 2004, it’s another mixed year filled with a ton of incredible highs and terrible lows. The lows in particular were so bad that it still overshadows a ton the incredible highs this year had. The ECW relaunch was a complete failure, the god storyline, three of their four big 4 PPVs were underwhelming, and the departures of Trish, Lita, and Kurt. But the highs were still amazing. There were still a ton of amazing feuds like Cena Vs Edge, Kurt Vs Taker, Trish Vs Mickie and Rated RKO Vs DX and several classic shows like Mania 22, Unforgiven 2006, and One Night Stand 06 and No Way Out 06. If the bad stuff didn’t happen, this could’ve been on a level of 05. But the lows hurt this year a lot. An underwhelming year but I still enjoy 06 and it’s still to me the last year that WWE felt normal because the next year really changed the company for the worst.

2007: What makes this year so sad that is that it could’ve been a banger year. The four months were a step in the right direction given how underwhelming 06 was. So many underrated feuds from those months, Cena Vs. Michaels, Cena Vs. Umaga, Beniot Vs MVP, and The best feud of that year, Taker Vs Batista. But after Backlash, it just went downhill. Vince’s ECW Title reign was the nail in the coffin for the revival brand, Khali’s abysmal title reign, the death of the cruiserweight division, bad storylines, and of course the constant controversies like the Benoit tragedy, multiple injuries to top stars and the signature pharmacy steroid scandal. There were some positives in the 2nd half of 07 like Jericho’s return, Survivor Series was pretty damn good and the product did get better in November but even these weren’t enough to save this year. Fans legit started to stop watching at this time because of the controversies and bad booking and switch over to TNA instead. This was a bad and incredibly dark year overall. But the first four months were still worth checking out.

2008: Overhated is the best word I can describe about 2008. Sure this was the final year of this era as 08 is when the company officially went PG but this year still had that Ruthless Agression era feel in the 2nd half. The feuds were great and this is amazing year for PPVs. A super underrated year.

2009: this is a PG year but I’m still talking about because it’s another mixed bag with a lot of good and terrible stuff. Jeff Vs Punk, Randy Vs Triple H and Shawn Vs Taker are incredible feuds and this was a really good year for SmackDown but man Raw hurt this year a lot. 2009 DX was ass, the Piggy James storyline, Hornswoggle Vs Chavo Guerrero and of course the guest host Era of Raw with the celebrities which ironically is the same tactic that is hurting WWE right now thanks to TKO’s greed but as much as I hate Vince, at least he understood that a celebrity focused product didn’t work and he never did it again. Overall 2009 is another dud year but like I said, SmackDown was really good this year and the PPV quality was still good for the most part despite some bad shows.

Overall, this is the last great era of the company. The bad stuff was really bad but the good definitely outweighed the bad in my opinion.

Midcard was really strong and actual people who felt like stars

The big three of the ruthless aggression era are
1. John Cena
2. Brock Lesnar
3. Batista

99' is when I understood what I was watching
