My sister is a quilter and I figured out how to make a rolling design wall for her about 10 years ago.  We made it double sided.  I took one of those $10.00 rolling garment racks from Walmart and 2 pieces of that 4 x 8 insulation board from Home Depot, and wrapped them in flannel and attached them with the velcro ties like you used, but we slit the insulation and pushed the velcro ties through it, so no glue involved.  We then just attached one on each side of the rolling rack so she can work on two different projects at the same time.  She can just flip it around to whichever side she is working on and move it where she needs it to be and move it out of the way when she is not using it and needs more room.  We originally did it because the room she was using as her sewing room was a sunroom with lots of windows and not much wall space to put her boards on.  Her first space she just had them leaning up against the wall, but they were warping.  On this rack that doesn't happen.  We actually made two sets of them.  The house she is in now, she usually just uses one set of them.

I have a design wall stationary in my basement sewing room. But...now I have fomo and want a rolly cart one! How fun and fuctional.
I actually could see it as a design tool display board at the store I sometimes teach at.
I just found your channel and love that you show your process including what doesnt work. Fknding what doesnt work keeps our brains active and leads to what does!

I used peel and stick corkboard on my bedroom wall. Best decision in 40 years.

I sooooo want one of these moveable board - I dragged my 'handy-man' husband over to watch.   Tomorrow I'm off to the shops to buy STUFF! Anne Kennedy - New Zealand

My aunt is an awesome quilter she goes to a quilt shop in Mass and they us in the shop those plastic table clothes you put on a table with the fuzzy stuff on the back and it works. You can get them for like under 5 each and they tack it to the wall they have it in king, queen, full and twin . Mt aunt said it works great.

I have a double closet in my sewing room.  I purchased the easy to install "Quik hang" curtain brackets, a curtain rod the length of my closet that fits the brackets.  I install on my top molding of the closet. I bought a wide piece of flannel with the grid, sewed a rod pocket.  Viola!  The rod/brackets do not hinder the opening and closing of my closet because they are above the doors.  I can bring the flannel to the side and use a tieback when not in use. Also, I got the wide grid flannel for block placement, but I wish I had purchased a more coordinated flannel to match my decor.  But, I still love it.

Great idea with the rolling rack. Love it.

I use a flannel tablecloth tacked to the wall works perfectly.  Used for several years

Very clever. great job and well done. CONGRATULATIONS

I like that wheelie cart thingy.

That's so cool. And I can think of many uses for a rig like that!

I used two command hook one thin net curtains rod and a flannel sheet

Thank you so much! That is just the what I need.
Will try to make a  moveable design wall using all your good tips.

By the way, this is an absolutely fabulous idea!!!!

When I made mine I made it so I could use both sides. It's a clumsy first effort because I used a plywood sheet which is too heavy (wish I'd known about thos polystyrene boards). I bought 2 good quality flannel king size sheets from my thrift store measured and sewed together across the top. So I was just able to hang over the top and used masking tape at bottom. Walla! Now I have a double sided design wall that is too heavy. But I must get one of those great trolley's like yours, hope I can get one here in Australia. I'm a newbie and am looking forward to checking out your other video's. Cheers

Very clever! I enjoyed all the thought you put into this project! Can't wait to see your next video!

Tape yardsticks across the the back connecting pannels for extra support.

I'd like to see a video of how you use a design wall

I don’t sew big projects, but I watched your video with great interest❤❤

I discovered your channel two days ago, as I am obsessed with English Paper Piecing.  I learned about it from Kate of The Last Homely House. She does a lovely job.  But when I saw your pieces I was stunned by their complexity and beauty.  I am so impressed with every aspect of your presentation and channel.  I watch a ton of people on YouTube, and I can honestly say, I think you are among the best among them!  First, your content is diverse, interesting and high quality. Secondly, your technical skills are amazing, especially for a relatively new channel. The shots are beautiful, incredibly colorful and well-designed. The music is nicely placed and upbeat. But, probably most importantly, you and your personality are made for this medium.  You come across so friendly and sincere - very authentic.  I love that you show your struggles/mistakes as well as the correct way to complete your projects.  Of all the many hand-work, sewing, quilting channels I watch, yours is very unique, clear and packed with great information and examples.

I can't believe you don't already have 100,000 subscribers.  Not being a youtuber myself, I have no idea how people increase viewership but having seen some of the shorts that pop up, that have made me then seek out those channels, I am wondering if you have tried making those?  Just having your beautiful pieces in the background as you describe what you do, is bound to being people to your channel.  Also just showing your smiling face and wonderful self-deprecating humor will win over so many.  I plan to send links to your channel to all of my friends and art students  (I teach art - all mediums, but I especially love fiber arts.)  Yours are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.  You go girl!  You are amazing.💥💓
