Nothing like a good worm sesh

Good on you George it's usually Lee being teacher but as they say you're never too old (or young) to learn new tricks or  techniques.

I preserve mine using a zip lock bag, a handful of salt, and then pop them into the freezer. Even when frozen, the salt does its thing, makes them like leather, and the fish will still bite them readily. The added bonus of the salt and freeze, is you can take them out fishing, they may defrost, but you can just chuck the unused worms back in the zip lock bag into the freezer. You can use/freeze/use  a few times before they spoil. IMO, the salted/frozen worms catch fish better than the metho ones. I’ve never had much success using metho worms bought from the shop.

Never been able to use the pliers, self taught fingers only, and I’m hopeless without the pippi to tempt them up. Taught myself how to beach worm from reading fishing mags, and hours/ weeks on the beach trying before I scored my first worm.

Amazing skill.

My father used to say “using pliers kills the worm” You have no feel. At the top of  the curve in the worm is the time to strike. The most time. Works for me.

Most honest worming video on the net!  Just started trying myself and probably missed 150+ over a few hours on last two days.  Easy to find, hard to snag.  The comment that says "use pliers from side, not from back" I haven't seen in other videos and makes sense (which make the worming look so easy) - gonna give that a go!

👌and shout out to George always used metho then seen a video a few years back with the red and pink colouring and my youngest daughter’s boyfriend has a pet dingo 👍👍👍

I'd love to have a go at this, a bit like casting a fly, it's going to take some time to master. The young bloke has the midas touch, smashed them, makes it look so easy. Thanks Lee. Cheers, BobbyB.

What is the life cycle of worms? How many can you sustainably harvest leaving some for the next guy?

Hey champions awesome video Lee  try setting your pliers close as possible  to the worm and use your finger bait to get maximum height then it’s timing when they hump the feelers relax and easy extraction

Would muscles work for worming?

From watching the video , Lee looked like he was trying to grab the worms from behind instead of from the side , the worms feel the pliers with their legs and yep you miss them , get them with the pliers from the side of the worm , I don’t know if you did that but looked like grabbing from behind and yes like that they are gone in a flash , Keep at it Lee you will get them eventually mate.👍

Do all beach produce sand worm? How to tell if they are in the area before starting to catch them? I travel from beach to beach, today there might be there but tomorrow they all gone? Really frustrate me lol......

I prefer the rog OSB method where you have the stocking. They bite on to the stocking and it gives you more time. No stink bait. Video of my kid doing it on my channel

Tried a few beaches around Melbourne but had no luck.. Does anyone know if they are around these parts or is it too cold for em here

Time dosent really matter ive soaked mine for up to 30min and they freeze down so well

Been trying for years to ge these. Still no luck i would be the same as Lee. Is there literally no other way?

Wouldn't the metho smell put off the fish?

What do you do with them after?

Can you do this all year round?
