It's not just about Lu's appearance, which is, by the way, magnificent. This guy doesn't try to be a star. This modesty goes hand in hand with QUALITY, and it's truly impressive. ✨✨

I intended this video as background music as I did some chores around the house...first few minutes in and I couldn't take my eyes off my computer screen. Incredible, captivating performance.

Eric, Twoja skromność i nieprzysłanianie swoją osobą muzyki Chopina jest chyba najtrudniejszą postawą i najpiękniejszą zarazem. Wygrał Chopin, chyba to nam chciałeś pokazać. Pianista na usługach Sztuki.🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 DZIĘKUJĘ I BARDZO GRATULUJĘ ❤🎉❤🎉❤ Choć pewnie to dla Ciebie nieistotne. Ty jesteś ponad uznaniem. I dlatego wygrałeś.❤

I truly admire the way he has quietly and sincerely pursued his musical truth. I believe the victory is the result of a long dedicated journey.

Congratulations, Eric Lu, on your victory! 🎉
Thank you for sharing such wonderful music during the competition. I’m sure the preparation period and the competition itself must have been very stressful and demanding — you’ve truly worked hard. Your music was deeply moving, and I’m so happy that you won first prize. Bravo! 👏

The beauty of the music shines through directly out of the FAZIOLI without any disturbance and without limit..,.,,, and without a pianist who seeks in every measure to make it any more beautiful……I love that Eric!!! 😊

Thank you so much for making the decision to return to this stage after ten years 😭🎹
I’ve been completely captivated ever since I first heard Eric’s performance in the finals when he was just 17.
Over these ten years, the depth and emotional expression in his playing have become even more breathtaking and moving — I was completely drawn in.
I know coming back to this stage wasn’t an easy choice, but thank you for returning to the finals and for giving us such a beautiful Polonaise-Fantaisie and Concerto No. 2.

I am and this man was clearly the winner. Such lyricism with technical perfection. Brilliant and well deserved.

@nested9006 11 months ago

He is not playing piano, he is creating emotions, slipped between and within every notes and cadence, and Eric expressed that the best.

Congratz, Eric.
