Pia is such an inspiration. She truly loves the game, and is so humble while being so strong. Always awesome to see her play.

the 80s when seeing Pias amazing play/results/games I saw someone who was "usually" incredibly patient/methodical. She "would" attack ONLY when she thought conditions were ideal and her play reminded me of games from players like GM Istvan Csom and counterattacker GM Viktor Korchnoi. She became the highest-rated female player on our planet. Her chess instincts and hard work at the board are again a beauty to behold as her passion for chess comes out in her patience when pursuing her ideas. Thank You for playing here Pia!! Largely because of your daughter I still get to see your style of chess! :)

The fact that it was 7 to 5 in blitz just shows that even though pia might not be in her prime. She is definitely one of the strongest woman chess player ever.

Regardless of this, I saw many hate comments on Levy's stream. Saying that Pia is too old and can't play. I could bet all my savings that these were the people who told Levy will get crushed.

Anyways massive props to the players and to the production team behind this masterpiece, was one of the first chess matches I watched fully

23:43 levy: yeah ill stop yapping
also levy: continues to yap

Anna, your mother is a class act.  The match was incredible

I have been watching a lot of videos of Anna lately.. and I must say the golden retriever energy she gives off is so cute!

I think Pia is so cool!

This proves that Levy is very well on his way to become a Grandmother! Levy has improved so much. Beat Pia, Nepomniatchtchi, Hans, and Fabiano too!

Congratulations to Levy and props for Pia that she agreed on playing in that format. Great games.

The tournament was great, I REALLY enjoyed it because it was SO intense, but it's obvious to me that the arrangement did not quite bring out the best in each player, leaving me feeling quite unsatisfied, that a rematch must be in arranged!  Congrats on you blitz peak!  Looks like you can get to 2300 soon, and even 2400 in the future, since you're beating them in Titled Tuesday.  Looking forward to December's tournaments and the next stream!

Amazing event, I dont remember when I was wathcing something like that. Both players were fantastic, it was true battle of generations. Cudos to both of them, because so many games in a row must be exhausting and you can start doing mistakes just because your brain is overwhelemd or you see position you played hours or days ago. So big thanks for that marathon

the example of a powerful woman

Game #1 Anna, the London System Opening worked well for Levy the first game. Pia won that game, yet Levy's strategy was good.
Game #2 A fast draw by Levy.  Actually, this was a great idea by Levy to get the draw.
Game #3 Another draw by Levy.  Well done.
Game #4 This win by Levy was very well played.
With these 4 games, at this accuracy level, it was really to me how well both were playing, and for Levy to tie the Classical portion was unexpected for me.  Both played fantastic chess in the Classical portion!
Rapid and Blitz I was thinking that Levy would have the advantage, especially in the Blitz area.
Rapid portion - It was amazing how both were playing so well, just look at the Accuracy!
Too many games, you said it correctly Anna. Pia, played well in the Rapid portion.
Blitz portion - This is Levy's strength; I mean he has beaten people like GM Nepo and GM Alireza online.  94% Accuracy in a Blitz game...wow!  Pretty tiring to play that many games in a row.
Anna, I subscribe and listen to your Channel and Gotham Chess more than any other YouTube Channel.  Sometimes I listen to GM Hiraru's channel, he is good also.
I was glad that both Pia and Levy played Great Chess, a very well-done presentation and match!!!

This match was absolutely amazing!!! Thank you so so much to everyone involved and congrats to Levy! What I loved most was how everyone wanted to learn from the match and each other. Including Pia who’s already an expert! I was happy to see Levy take the learning opportunity and not only the win. And thank you for the commentary, as a beginner who’d never watched classical chess before I couldn’t have understood without you and Alex

Also I must pay my respects to the cow 🐮 I had zero interest in chess until it got my attention anyway and brought me to your channel. I stayed for your positivity and after seeing recaps of the first 2 games I wanted to watch them in full! I saw the cow and less than a week later I was watching classical chess, completely focused for every second of it

Such an amazing match. Thanks Pia and Levy for entertaining us. Levy, you will become GM.

It was a very fun event to watch. You were a great team as "objective" commentators (😁). Or not, but your bias, joyfulness and stress over lack of time on the clock was a fun and unusual addition. I hope you will host more events like this.

Amazing match. Loved every day. Congrats to Pia and Levy, classy, respectful and entertaining.

Great tournament. You’re an excellent producer, Anna.
