Wow even though the lioness didn't show any signs of aggression or "hunting" behavior, I must say that both of you totally handled the situation much better than I would.

When you are near the queen and kings of the jungle, you definitely feel their power.Experience of a lifetime.

Beautiful lionesses. Being calm and collected saved the day.

Awesome,  Donna, you're one brave lady.  What an experience.

You absolutely did the right thing. Anything else would put you in more danger than you were already. Having said that, I think they were more curious than hungry.

I’m in awe at your calmness. This video was one in a million !!!

You guys did exactly the right thing by staying quiet and motionless. The lionesses didn't seem aggressive at all. They seemed to be looking for something to eat, but didn't seem to consider you guys as food. The casual and even confiding way they walked around the camp, even flopping down inside the camp near the chairs, from which they could obviously smell humans, shows they were either familiar with the camp or at least humans and didn't consider them a threat. It was a heart-stopping incident no doubt, but you guys handled it well.

Wow, how amazing was that. You'll remember that for the rest of your lives.  I would certainly not have been so brave. What a beautiful life.

Nerves of steel and staying calm saved the day! Thanks for sharing, incredible experience!

What calm displayed by Donna under extreme pressure!  So refreshing to see. As you said, the experience of a lifetime, one you do not want to repeat.

10:35 no she’s looking for the catch because she’s like “this is too good to be true, this has to be a setup” 😅😂

If you lived to tell your story, then you did the right thing. I've worked lions for 25 years but only at zoos in the USA. First lioness was curious but as calm as she was, when she stepped up on the platform at 10:35, I gotta say it would be spray time for me. I've seen them up close on bush walks ( Kenya), but never that close. Great video. Thanks for posting. Cheers.

Stuck in 2 WD in deep sand, off road in Mabua, in the middle of a pride, doing a lion survey with a visiting scientist. After many hours it became apparent that the pride we dug in for the day. A lioness 5m in front of us. In those days you had to physically engage the wheel locks. Eventually my husband got out, the lioness immediately leap up on alert, glaring as only a lion can, he hit the bonnet hard, and leaped towards her arms outstretched and roaring. Thank goodness she turned tail and ran, giving him time to do the wheel locks, but before he was back in the door she was coming back.

It seems the same way my barn cat will play with a baby bird watch it half a day before it decides to eat it

Right decision to stay calm and quiet. She didn't look aggressive. Beautiful video 1 in a million encounter.

That’s amazing how calm you stayed but be careful you got lucky that time I know of people who have been attacked for food! But that was super calm under immense pressure and u had the balls to film both of u wow!

Awesome!!!! She calmly came to you, you didn't move into her space, she didn't feel intimidated at all!!! What an awesome once in a lifetime experience!!! I would have had to replace the chair, would never have been able to clean it!! Wonderful.....

Wow! That’s not a day you’ll ever forget. You did exactly the right thing in my opinion. Even standing up & slowly backing away would have been risky in that situation. I’m so glad it all turned out well.

Well done, but this is a big but. Do not feed or give them water. Once they get use to human and they bite only one person those lions will all be killed. That will be the end of their lives because people do not listen.

I think you did everything right 👏 it is right to keep calm.
