Q from James Bond in an earlier job😀

Benny is an absolute legend! I hope there's a Benny statue in the MB HQ.

OMG it is Q!

I’m all but certain that the RAF officer at 6:01 is Desmond Llewelyn, aka ‘Q’ of many of the ‘James Bond 007’ films. If not, this man is Q’s doppelgänger. That face and voice is almost immistakeable. 🫡🇬🇧

And how i thought I’d be the first to have noticed Q is hilarious. I’ll read next time. Maybe. 🤣

"Don't think I can make it, short of gravy".....100% British.....

6:10 Q before he was recruited into MI6!

You only see an officer when a film is involved! I was an ejection seat technician and I trained pilots, fire crews, and non-Armament tradesmen on seat safety! These early seats had to be fired from height or the pilot hit the ground still in his seat. It wasn’t until the Mk 4 seat that a rocket pack was fitted to raise its ejection height by 600’, giving it a 0/0 capability.

These vehicles look like they are from the 1920’s!!!

Let us trust that civilian authorities are still trained to respect aircraft ejection seats even in todays climate

Carry on Q!

A decorated pilot with what looks like a DFC ribbon.

That was great....really enjoyed it!....Another piece of historical footage for us nerdies to watch.
Thanks for sharing.

Since when did they have officers on crash fire duty in the RAF.  It was good to see though.

The two Meteors were converted to a sort of T7 which MB christened a Mk 7.5.

Does Martin-Baker still have a facility in Northern Ireland?

Is it possible to get the neck tie without going on the roller coaster ride?

asking for a friend

What is the village at 52 seconds..?    I wonder if the fire station is still there...?

So that was Qs history........
