Taking my CCP-C tomorrow and my instructor sent me this video. You really calmed my nerves! Thank you! I subscribed and will be watching more of your content.
Hello thank you for the video. I’m currently in Critical Care class. We use the orange book like in Paramedic school. I’ve been a Medic for nine years now. Like two weeks after I started Critical Care school I got diagnosed with some mental health issues and they put me on some medications that really help me but I feel like they’re screwing with my memory. I wanted to wait till after school to get help but I just couldn’t. I really want to take the FP-C test (if I actually pass this class next month) but I’m REALLY nervous about all of it because I used to be really good at tests and I actually don’t know if I still am because of my medicine ya know. I read the book almost religiously. I even listen to the audiobook when I’m doing random household stuff ya know and I make flash cards and I do the ABG ninja too. I’m just writing to ask if you think the stuff I’m learning in this class and the studying I’m doing for the class will be sufficient to prepare me for the FP-C exam or if there’s stuff I should really be focusing in on. Thank you again for posting the video.
Current RN and 16 year medic in various capacities. This episode is dead on. Taking my first FP-C exam next month and I’ll report back with some comments about the exam.
Know your gaps, for medics it’s going to be lab values. For nurses it’ll be 12 leads and even ABGs for both.
I took Flight Bridge ED’s course and the knowledge is helpful, but it’s pretty in depth. It’s not a “pass the test” kind of course.
What are the exact formulas IBSC is looking for in et tube sizes for peds? Different sources say age/4 + 4 for uncuffed and 3.5 for cuffed but others switch it to 4.5 for uncuffed and 4 for cuffed
