The drive itself to Mt. Rushmore is amazing. It is definitely NOT underwhelming.

Mount Rushmore is awesome. I’ve been there to imagine somebody getting up there and carving those into the cliff is unreal.

I don’t believe I’ve ever heard anyone call Mount Rushmore underwhelming.

Mt. Rushmore is NOT underwhelming.

In Deadwood, S.D., you can see the chair/stool Wild Bill Hickok was sitting in  when he was killed, plus the graves of Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok.

I'm surprised they didn't show The Goonies rock. That's pretty famous and a nice area.

Mount Rushmore is not underwhelming.  It's an amazing place to visit.  There are things to do & places to see.

Saying that it’s underwhelming when you haven’t even been there is mental. I’ve been there and it gave me chills…you have to be there to appreciate it, no film or camera will do it justice 16:26

Mount Rushmore is not in the middle of nowhere. You can spend a week there. A lot of people think it looks smaller than they imagined but I think it's great. Need  to see old west town of Deadwood. Hiking and fishing. Lots of wildlife to see. Crazy Horse monument. Spearfish Canyon, Caves, Chuckwagon dinner shows, reptile gardens, safari drivethrus, close to Devils Tower etc.

South Dakota is Beautiful

Grffith Observatory was also famous for the movie Terminator, you get treated a butt shot of the T-1000 as he walks to the edge of the terrace overlooking the downtown LA at night. 😂

I've been to that Forest Gump location. Monument Valley. It's actually such a majestic location (especially if you're from Ohio), that I stopped, got out of the car and took a couple of photos nearly identical to the one seen in the movie.

Redwoods national park is Endor from Return of the Jedi.  White Sands national park is the setting of numerous alien planets in SciFi movies.

No, Mt. Rushmore is not underwhelming! I was lucky enough to go there years back. It's like seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time...You've seen it before, but it's better in person...

Love the Black Hills, can understand why they are sacred to native Americans! Played the slots in Deadwood! Also the Devils Tower is unbelievable!

3:12 Devil's Tower is incredible to see. The land was restored to the tribes, and they've fortunately banned climbing on it. You can see it for miles. The energies around it are incredible.

They missed the Ohio State Reformatory famous for The Shawshank Redemption

The Empire State Building has appeared in 250+ films: here are the top ones: King Kong (1933), An Affair to Remember (1957), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Superman II (1980), Spideman 2 (2004.   You can still go to the top outside at the exact film locations.   I thought this would be close to number 1.

I’m surprised Tombstone wasn’t on the list.

The actual hotel where "The Shining" was written, and got influence from, Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. That's still up.

Stanley is known for steam. Specifically steaming carpets to clean them. But in the 1910s, they had made steam-powered cars, and that hotel has one in the "carriage house"
