You're a saint bro. Words can not express my gratitude for you taking the time to make this with full transparency. So glad you're making videos again. You've been a huge inspiration.
I can imagine cops kicking down your door thinking this is a weed growing operation. They'll look around and see whats up and apologize. I like your videos man you got some skillz.
Just stumbled upon your channel. I've grown previously and am looking to get back into the swing of things and possibly start a business. Thanks for the informative videos!
You need to 2 up your exhaust side, not intake, without equal sized ex-changers your lopsided(surface area), having it lopsided to the outside intake side is completely backwards for a heat recovery unit, there ether equal or recovery side is larger (IE You have 2X the surface area exposed to outside air then recovering from the inside). I currently have a running HRU from old pc water cooling radiators, duel pass, but are perpendicular to air flow instead of parallel. Have the 3x120mm rad in the exhaust (made some ducting to adapt the 3 inch to it, added benefit of slowing air at rad to recover more heat, before condensing back to 3 inch to vent out) and the single 120mm rad in intake.I can heat my intake air from 30f to 60f off of the 62f degree exhaust from my fruiting chamber.
What would be realy telling is if you had a thermometer in the intake and output flow of coolant for each of the exchanges.
Great info! I am about to go through this same experiment. Does you exhaust heat exchange not block up with spores fast? Also, is it worthwhile insulating the HRV poly pipe so it doesn't loose temperature as the liquid travels around?
Hei, Thx for video. About the unit, I understand its compact form of air-to-air heat pump, is it? If yes why not to go heat pump > bufor tank > fan coil? Air would still go through HRV then through fancoil. That way no pre condition room as air stays in vent pipes, tho some places for tank need (and control unit if not built-in into tank). Maybe is something because of location but here (Norway) those portable AC are not made to work on FEA but on recycling in-room air til desire temps are reached. Then they capability to heat/cool air is lower if we look at continuous air exchange. 40ft container (around 75m3) I could go down to 20'C with outdoor 33'C, fan around 780m3/h on speed 3 or 4 out of 5. Some air recycling through fancoil, don't remember how much but dont think valves opened more 50%. Vent pipes go.. Outdoor to > T-pipe.. Indoor to > T-pipe.. T-pipe > fancoil > fan. Both outdoor and in-room air intakes have simple valve/ damper = outdoor mostly fully open, indoor closed or party closed. Greetings
