An ex-publisher, Paul,  listens to modern songs he's never heard before, played to him by his daughter Daisy, and has to decided if he would have 'signed or declined' them back in the day - 70' and 80's. My next-door neighbor works for Billie on her tours, and he says she is incredibly kind and doesn't cram the tour schedule, so everyone has time to rest and do a little sightseeing at various locations. She pays all of her tour staff very well and is well-liked by all. She also donates to local charities on her tour. I love knowing this about her, and it makes me love her music more.

He’s brilliant. He immediately picked up on the fact that Finneas uses her voice is an instrument.

I mean he's not wrong about ocean eyes. she recorded it to use as a backing track for a dance not as a the focal point but as background, so it is technically being used as more of an instrumental piece.

I took my niece to see Billie Eilish in concert for her birthday. I expected to enjoy the concert, but I didn't expect the level of excellence that Bilie, her band, and background vocalists brought. I didn't think most of her songs could work live because they're so soft, etherial, and breathless. HOWEVER! Billie sang her face off. Big beautiful live vocals. It's in my top 20 best concerts I've ever seen. I've been in industry 43 years. I've seen MJ, Aretha, Boys to Men, Whitney, Springsteen, U2, The Cure, Tina Turner, Lisa Fischer, Sarah McClaghlan, Paula Cole (who I also opened for), and a myriad of other artists. Truly Billie Eilish is in my top 20 of the best concerts i've ever seen. There was never a moment wasted. Everything she said/did on stage was done with intention. She projected warmth and kindness. And lastly, I thought i'd be surrounded by a bunch of 14 to 22 year olds. That was not the case at all. There was EVERY age and gender in that stadium and everyone knew the words. It was a beautiful experience.

A little context for ocean eyes, it was created as a backing track for Billie to dance to. Her dance teacher asked if she could make something for her class to dance to so she went to her brother who had written the lyrics for ocean eyes but didn’t think the song suited him. They recorded the song and put it on SoundCloud and it blew up like crazy.
