A simple mistake I see almost everyone make when learning how to jump is lifting their legs too early.

It might seem like a small thing, but it can completely change your jumping mechanics. Instead of absorbing the end of the takeoff, you want to keep extending through the lip until your tail actually snaps off the end. Once you're in the air, then bring your legs up to you.

In this video, I break down why lifting your legs too early kills your height, shifts your balance, and makes it harder to control yourself in the air. I also explain why jumping with less explosive movement can actually make it easier to get consistent height.
