🇬🇧 The Desmontegada is a dive into Alpine tradition: festively decorated cows and other animals parade alongside farmers and farmers in traditional Alpine and Tyrolean dress, amidst bells, music, and cheer. The procession winds through the village with vintage tractors and horse-drawn carts, arriving at the Palio meadow.
This is where the 20th Palio delle Frazioni takes place, with outdoor games inspired by ancient mountain tasks: chopping logs, mowing grass, sawing, wheelbarrow racing, climbing the maypole, tug-of-war, and other tests of strength, agility, balance, and team spirit! 💪🏼
But the Palio is also about laughter, cheering, and wholesome fun. Jokes and toasts with beer and wine, while the Val di Pejo Band and the Fiorellin del Bosc Alpine Choir accompany the celebration with Alpine songs, accordion, music, and cheer. 🎶🍻🍷
🎥 This is the 4th and final video in the series dedicated to the Pejo Agriculture Festival 2026. The Desmontegada arrives on the meadow with its procession of animals, breeders, farmers, tractors, and carts, and it is there that the Palio delle Frazioni comes to life, with trials, cheering, music, and joviality.
A mountain festival made of traditions, community, music, hard work, laughter, and the desire to be together. ❤️🏔️
