I'm 34 and I still listen to music from 2006. Current music isn't bad, but I don't feel as connected to it. Man, what memories. I wish I could relive those times. 🥺

The MySpace Era was truly something else.. Crazy how things evolved during the past years 🔨🔨

I was in a band called Structures. Although we came up during the Sumerian-core era we wouldn’t have been a band without these artists. TDWP was the genesis.

Im 33. The best thing about your videos is a song will play that haven't listened to in nearly 20 years and will know every beat before I have to pause to go down a Spotify wormhole of rediscovery.

Abandon All Ships never gets the love they deserved. Was genuinely happy to see a small portion of Take One Last Breath in this video 🥺

Attack Attack lead to Beartooth, and more importantly, Bilmuri. Crank your hogs, yall.

I am so surprised you included I See Stars! One of my favorite bands ever. I am literally my mom now. 33 and I make my daughters listen to all of this music from this era saying, "They don't make music like they used to" and tell them about my concert days. Saw every single one of these bands live. The best of times

It’s the early days of enter shikari / ADTR / pierce the veil / A7X / underoarh / Silverstein / SCSC / saosin / breathe Carolina / blessthefall / thrice / senses fail / Hawthorne heights , that did it for me.

The Devil Wears Prada was of all these bands, the most iconic bands of my teen years. I love every band in this video, and every bit of it was pure nostalgia, but they still have the most special place in my heart.

36 now. Seeing TDWP crush warped this weekend was awesome. They sounded so good, and I loved how they mixed their set up.

Architects is my favorite come up band from that time. I remember finding Nightmares when I was a tech metal scene kid. Haha, it’s so awesome to see them thrive now. Tom Searle forever🙏

ISS New Demons era was absolutely their best I’m glad you touched on that, and when Phases came out I was obsessed with it through high school

The Flood is still my favorite album/song by OM&M

What I like about these Myspace bands is the fact that most are still releasing new music and grew with the fan base

Being 26, I was a little too young to really grasp the MySpace era at the time, but thanks to my older siblings, I’ve been listening to those albums forever. So thank you for breaking it down, it's genuinely fascinating.

with roots above and branches below was one of the best start to finish albums from the whole scene. i remember getting that cd and flying down the highway in the car packed with the bois just losing our minds from start to finish.

also totally agree with Mike Hranica being the most underrated lead. him and shane told from silverstein are two of my favorites between screams and cleans
